Bahr Gallery is a welcoming spot in the heart of Oyster Bay with a kind, friendly vibe. It specializes in rare, first edition psychedelic rock posters from the late 1960s, featuring iconic groups like the Grateful Dead, Jimi Hendrix, and The Doors. This very cool museum and gallery offers a super interesting and extensive collection of these posters, which are rare first printings over 50 years old, many signed, and all escalating in value. The posters are amazing works of art, forming a historical time capsule of the 60's and 70's. The owner is approachable, knowledgeable, helpful, friendly, and passionate about the art, making it a pleasure to talk. It is a very different and interesting place for music fans, earning an A+ for coolness. The gallery operates by appointment in winter, but visitors are encouraged to knock. All inventory is online and they ship anywhere in the U.S. With works changing frequently, it is definitely worth a visit.
The Gallery is beautiful the art is a beautiful selection of works.
