“Excellent fast service. I dropped in last week around 4:00 p.m. I was taken within minutes and was in and out within less than 40 minutes. They do not try to upsell you. They are very honest and have very reasonable prices. I had an oil change done. I asked them to check my wiper blades; they said they were good and did not try to upsell me. I also asked them to check my tires and they said they were in great shape for the winter...again did not try to upsell me as they also sell tires there. So overall very honest with quick service and a very reasonably priced oil change. I will be back.”

“Gallagher's Garage is amazing! I did not use their mechanic shop, so I can't comment on that, but their tow service was the best I have ever come across!I ran into mechanical trouble on my way home to NJ from Hudson, NY. It was 19 degrees out and I had to get home, so I decided to just pay the tow overages through my insurance company. Gallagher's was the top tow company in the area according to USAA, and I now know why. I planned to just leave the car, but Joshua showed up in less than 45 minutes.He clearly has been doing this for a while. He was super professional and was very knowledgeable. He loaded my car up with no problems for a 2 hour long haul ride. About 30 minutes after I got home in northern NJ my car was here. He unloaded the car in the driveway, and parked it perfectly so I could deal with my car at a later date.If I did not immediately have to get home I probably would have tried out their mechanical shop. If I ever need another random tow or mechanical work in that area, they will be my first call! I really cannot express just how fortunate I was to get a driver like Joshua. Thank you Joshua and Gallagher's Garage for making a very stressful and intense situation a breeze! A+”

“Very nice owner, excellent service!I was on a family outing with my dad, daughter, and two large dogs. We picked up a 7/16" lag bolt in the tire and had to stop in Tannersville.No spare of course, two cans of fix-a-flat only made a mess (seals 1/4" holes my a$$, it didn't even try to seal around the lag), ended up leaving the van in Legg's parking lot, and getting a friend to drive 1.5 hours each way to pick us up.Went back the next day, luckily the shop was open, and the owner immediately plugged my tire, had me on my way, and only asked for $10. In my situation, he could have easily asked for $75, not brought me right in, etc., but being a decent and honest person didn't take advantage of the situation.He also offered advice on the road hazard warranty that I was unaware came with the tires, and genuinely is very knowledgeable in auto repair (we talked vehicles while he was repairing the tire).VERY highly recommended!!!!”

“Just used Palenville Auto for the 1st time and couldn’t be happier. Finally a FAIR & HONEST mechanic in the area! I Had Justin do wheels and tires on my truck along with a leveling kit. Communication was excellent. He got the job done in a single day just like he told me he would. Receipt was broken down by item and all charges were more than fair. He even left a socket in the truck for me to keep for when I do tire rotations with the new wheels AND he explained technicalities to make sure to tell whomever does my oil changes from not on, because certain things are no longer stock. First time in forever I paid an auto mechanic with a smile on my face. Would not hesitate to recommend to friends and loved ones.”
