The place is not bad, we went there with my family and had a good time. However, it is very outdated and not very well maintained. The basketball net was ripped, the pool water was clean but the filter was not working and the walls of the pool were pretty dirty. There was only one bbq and you pretty much had to beg other people who would occupy the bbq all day to let you use it. The play ground was ok. The staff was nice. Even though we asked for two rooms next to each other and were told they did not have them and immediately after someone else was given a room next to my parents (which could have been given to us and was not) not sure why, and not a big deal, but not very nice.Breakfast was literally a muffin, juice, cornflakes, and coffee. Their wifi was extremely weak and very spotty and no signal at all. There was no wifi pretty much other than in the main building by check-in.We had an ok time but we would probably not be back.

This property has a lodge, cabins and a detached 2 story building with hotel rooms. We stayed in the detached building "motel". I booked because I thought we were bringing our dogs and then decided not to. As soon as we saw the room I wanted to leave, it seemed cleaned but really old furniture, stained, and bed was really old and super bouncy, . I would never book a place like this but photos online say retro, I am ok with newer old but not just old dirty and damaged furniture. No bar, it is a shady "OTB", I tried to play pinball at 7pm and they said sorry game room closed. No TV, ok but nothing else to do here! We stayed during President Days weekend, not once did they light the outdoor fire pit. Breakfast was bagels and not good ones. The chalking was gross in all areas of the bathroom. Front desk staff was ok, but lobby areas not that clean. Stay here only as a last resort or if they charge 60$ a night instead of 150$. You DO NOT get what you pay for here and lots of better option nearby. In fact, we stay at an amazing place 3.5 stars ( more like 4) near by ( 10 miles) with all the amenities and a waterfall view for 50$ more a night. We made the best of it but the owner clearly don't take pride, this could be a gold mine instead it is a toxic waste site! Just no you get nothing but a bed. I actually think the 5 star reviews are BS as a see one that was recently posted about outdoor movies and bonfires, trust me if the are not doing this during President Day weekend 2023 then they were note doing this 2 weeks ago.

Great place to stay at for a day or two when I'm the Catskills or driving through. Believe me, you really gotta watch what motels you check into in the Catskills these days... some are really bad. This place definitely impressed me. Very quiet, peaceful and in a wonderful location. Really loved the small balcony in the lodge. I would definitely give this place 5 stars!

It’s a cute lodge. I love how they were kind enough to leave a “Happy birthday” note for my girlfriend. The front desk staff was super friendly. The only thing that I thought was annoying was the fact that the lodge restaurant was not currently in service. I think that’s something that they should advice their guests of before even booking. Unless, it was just for the day I was there…

Wonderful and peaceful experience at Catskill Mountain Lodge! Perfect escape from New York City while on a midwinter break from work. Staff are friendly and professional. A real family-like feel, and makes one feel right at home upon arrival. Cool lobby and cozy bonfire to warm you up during a cold night. Rooms were clean and spacious and cleaning service was top notch. Free bagels and coffees from 8-10am. And helpful locals can recommend ideal places to visit! A staff member, Brian, even curated a list of great places to eat for your convenience. I highly recommend it to anyone who’s new to Catskills, Hiking, or first time mountain goer! ?

Really cute retro motel-lodge! The property gave me Bates Motel vibes but without the terror - a good thing. Brian is super great and friendly. Bagel/coffee breakfast was a nice touch. Property full of amenities - would be great to be back when more guests as I seemed to be like the only person during my stay which felt a bit eerie. The decor is super retro which I loved. I stayed in the motel section, which was a bit more rough around the edges. TV just leaning on wall, cable box randomly on floor, cleaning supplies left in bathroom, exposed electrical plug casing things, chipped sinks and toilet. Little things like that may bother some folks but I didn’t mind - and if anything kind of added to the old school motel vibes. The place was otherwise clean and comfortable and affordable. I’ll be back soon - hopefully to ski nearby!

Stayed here this past weekend. The owner Brian was one of the most down to earth and nicest people. Honestly I would be considered high maintenance taking into consideration where you are and this isn’t the Waldorf Astoria I absolutely enjoyed my stay here very much. All the rooms have balconies and there is parking near your room. Rooms are very clean, bed and pillows are very comfortable. They are dog friendly, have a fridge and keurig machine in the room. I do not have one complaint. The prices are beyond fair. The grounds are very nice and well kept. I would 110% stay here again and again and plan on doing so soon. Overall A+++ for everything.Thank you to Brian and Nate for being such great hosts!

We stayed at the Catskill Mountain Lodge for an overnight excursion. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. We stayed in the main lodge. They were one of the best priced pet friendly hotels! Huge plus. I would definitely stay here again.

We seriously considered extending our trip just because of this motel. We stayed in a king lodge room and it was exactly what we needed - one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in, restaurant recommendations, proximity to hiking trails and a remote, quiet atmosphere. Plus, they’re dog-friendly. No complaints, and can’t wait to come back!

This place is an absolute gem! The staff is extremely kind, the bed was the softest we’ve ever slept in, and there were lots of things to do (fire pits, arcade, corn hole). We’re definitely staying there again!

We had SUCH a nice cozy night at the Catskill Mountain Lodge. We loved the options at the honor bar (don't sleep on the North Fork potato chips, they're tasty as hell). Our number one highlight was the faux fireplace in the bedroom, very fun to lay around and drink honor bar Coors Lights next to! We were a little bummed the OTB bar was closed, but luckily our room had tons of different options for places to hang (a nice table/chairs, comfy benches, the balcony, two very comfortable beds, and of course the floor in front of the fireplace!) Also, shout out to Brian, my guy at the front desk, who took great care of us at check-in, even offering us a list of local restaurants to eat dinner at. This is an EXTREMELY affordable option in the Catskills in a great area. Worth checking out!

The room was beautiful and had everything I needed. But checking in could of been a lot better. I got there and stood there for over 5 minutes waiting for someone to come to desk. No bell to ring or anything. So we had to stand there until someone finally realized we were there on the cameras. However the staff was extremely friendly. Very clean place. I do highly recommend.
