I hate to say I’m going to have to change banks after Christmas. I used to love this bank and have had it for years but recently the past couple months my card keeps declining whether I have money in or not, I keep having problems with items being paid and then it having a negative in my account because it never pended fully after, yes a month. My Christmas gift to a far away friend will be late now. I keep getting kicked off the app and can’t login because I use the app to access my account number. It’s horrible how their cards work, and I can’t even contact anybody that is an associate and when it gives me the option to get a call back, no one ever calls me back. I’m highly disappointed

Forget about getting your security $5 back when closing your accounts out. I closed my accounts 3 months ago and have yet to get a check. Called 3 times and still no check. It's only $5 but it's the point. It's my money but BFCU fails to return it. I left them due to poor customer service and it remains the same to the bitter end. Stay with banks.

I have had an account with Bethpage FCU for years. There is definitely an issue with how they post payments. Bethpage FCU offers a 10 day grace period after the due date to pay your bill. I always set my payment up 7 days in advance, and it is always scheduled to come out 2 days before the grace period ends. However, it takes Bethpage FCU another 3 days to post the payment. So the grace period expires, and I am charged with a $25 late fee. I CAN'T HELP BUT THINK THIS IS A SCAM!!! I had not had a late fee in almost a year! SHAME ON BETHPAGE FEDERAL CREDIT UNION!! Card gets compromised often. Had to change mine in 2-3 years 4 x's. Moved the bulk of my money to a bank.

Update to Account Freeze: After waiting almost 2 weeks to get an appointment to verify my address I did everything they asked me. had to wait another day for them to clear the information which they did and then emailed me that the account hold had been lifted. Yet I still couldn't log in. I had to call them again and go through a 2 hour long customer service call to have them unlock my account. Once in I tried to transfer my money out and close my account while on the phone with customer service and was told the transfer was put on hold and that I'd have to wait another 5 days to send any money to my other bank Steer clear.

Patchogue branch: Fast drive up service, quick, professional manager response if you have an issue or questions, ATMs are very outdated and typically will not accept deposits, front door card reader access to lobby ATM hasn't worked in months! Nearest other branch locations require pretty long distance travel.HOT tellers!! :-)Online app: Fast, easy log in, user friendly, good format, fast real time posting of most transactions with the exception of electronic direct withdrawals. They take 24-72 hours or longer if a holiday is in effect to post as a pending OR completed withdrawal.Customer service call line: Pretty bad, not intuitive, confusing, difficult to navigate, long wait times, nearly impossible to speak to a live representative. No representatives available after 1:00pm, RIDICULOUS!!24/7/365 live customer service representatives are SOP with almost every other financial institution.

I went in for a fraud case through Zelle and Cassandra Lee Fontana was so helpful and kind throughout the whole process. She helped me close out the accounts and open new ones. She made the entire situation a lot more enjoyable and provided me her information so I can contact her directly moving forward.

I wish there is an option for zero stars.Some of the staff at this Branch are very rude,condescending and dismissive,lack professionalism towards customers;especially the so called Head Teller at this Branch.I took my business to a bank where they cherish customers and treat you with respect not where some staff treat you as if they are doing you a favor forgetting that she does not have jobs without the WE the customers*** Per your response I have sent you an email

The initial loan application process and the online experience were both good. When we have made follow up visits to the Patchogue branch, however, both the teller and loan officer were very unprofessional and unpleasant. We will never visit the Patchogue branch again based on our most recent visit on 3/19/22. The staff that worked that day were more interested in their cell phones than helping customers, and did not even care that we walked out disgruntled after not being helped. They clearly didn't care about customer satisfaction, or providing good customer service at all. In fact when I said we were leaving, the teller said "Okay" in a dismissive tone, and went back to scrolling on her phone. And the loan officer finally got up, but instead of asking us what we needed, she avoided eye contact, and then went up and asked someone else if she could help them. When I asked her why, she said "I'm not helping them."

I want to really thank Yelp for helping me resolve a problem I had with BFCU. At BFCU's request I scheduled a phone call. A young man named Tom called me. He took care of the issue I had by transferring funds and emailing me a form I had to sign, scan into a PDF and return to him by email. As long as I get the right 1099-R at tax time next year everything will be perfect. Tom did a good job. Thanks Tom!

About fed up with this place not this (location) but the fact that i locked myself out of my debit card and cannot change the pin at 8 pm this dam credit union doesn't have a 24hr hotline to help instead just one of those infuriating elecronic hotlines, im almost about to take my banking elsewhere since this is one of many times this happened to me the fact i can't even change it online only make this worse
