Great vehicle maintenance and repair shops are hard to come by and most are concerned with getting raked over the coals with recommendations for unnecessary parts and services. Since owning my truck, which I bought back in 2019, I’ve only taken my Ram for service to Browns. They’re honest, affordable, and pleasant to work with every time. In fact, when I shopped around to have a tow brake module and control installed in my truck, I called three different Ram dealerships. Another dealership located in the greater Smithtown area wanted double what Browns quoted me for the same install. It’s literally the same OEM parts, same labor hours…and all Ram dealerships. There’s no reason there should’ve been any price difference. Highly recommend this dealership .

I waited for my car and I was approached twice for advice on how to proceed. My car needed 2 tires to pass inspection so I agreed. I asked the mechanic to check my air and it was done. I watched some TV and my car was done very soon.

Waited for a back ordered part for 3 months for my truck which wasn’t the issue. The problem was every time the date would roll around that I was told it’d come (multiple dates) I’d never get a call from Steve the rep. He told me when I dropped the truck off he’d call 2 days later to let me know what the plan was, never got a call. Instead after calling the serve dept 3 times and getting upset he called saying he never got a message to call me, when he told me in person he’d call. A month went by and the part was supposed to come in, called and left a messages multiple times with a girl, a day after the part was supposed to be in to see if it was in. Never got a call back from Steve. Multiple messages over multiple days. Finally just called the parts dept myself to see if it was in and was told a completely different story in terms of when to expect the part from what Steve told me. The Parts dept seemed to be the only ones that could actually tell me what was going on. Finally got a call 3 months later from a very nice girl scheduling me to bring it in. The second ever call from Steve was to tell me I needed another part, if I was willing to pay and that’d it’d be ready the next day. Told them I had work later in the day and was hoping to get the truck by 2. Called at 1145am and talked to a girl to see if my truck would be ready in time or if I should make other arrangements, again no call back from Steve, which I already expected to not get a call back from the way the last 3 months went. Got a call from someone else around 430pm saying my truck was ready after I scrambled to make plans to get to work and was already at work. The multiple times I called, Steve was always “with a client or away from his desk”. 2 of the only calls I got from Steve were just to see if I was willing to pay for the parts I needed. He was unprofessional, unreliable and unreachable. He clearly showed he didn’t care about anything other than taking your money. I thinks it’s reasonable after leaving a deposit to be told what was going on rather than standing around wondering if the part came in for 3 months. I also don’t think it’s unreasonable to have just gotten called back to say hey your car will or won’t be ready by when you need it. I will never return here and would advise anyone reading this to take your business elsewhere. Avoid the frustration.
