Terrible rude service. Felt like we were bothering them. Waited for them to get off their phone and finish their own conversation and continued to be difficult while we ordered. Overall a incompetent abrasive staff

A good travel plaza with plenty of options for food, drinks and snacks. Not to mention plenty of room in the restrooms to accommodate plenty of visitors. I liked that they had a farmers market outside of the plaza. Everything was neat and clean with plenty of parking.

We were heading westbound on I-90 on the New York State Thruway and decided to take a break at the Angola Travel Plaza at M.P. 447. There is very easy access in to the Angola Travel Plaza parking lot, as well as plenty of parking. The Travel Plaza itself is located in the middle of the opposing lanes of traffic at this Travel Plaza and you have to walk across a protected pedestrian walkway that crosses over the Thruway lanes of traffic. There are a number of restaurants located in the Angola Travel Plaza, as well as a number of other amenities, i.e. clean and well-maintained restrooms, information counter, ATM, a food court dining area and a lot more. Auntie Anne's was perfect for the type of food that we were looking for to snack on while driving and we walked away with a regular type of pretzel and a desert type of pretzel. The staff was very efficient in the busy Travel Plaza and the prices were only a bit higher than you might expect.

Had a cinnamon pretzel that was ok. 3 stars because they ran out of the plain ones and the server didn't smile.

I tried an sweet almond pretzel and an original pretzel dog here on my drive towards Boston. There aren't too many great travel plaza food options around here unfortunately, so this was one of the safer options for a snack. Prices are elevated, like in any other travel plaza -- service was fairly fast but food was received fairly slow as they didn't have ready-to-go pretzels available for a quick bite. The two items I tried were the sweet almond pretzel which had a very nice almond aroma to it on a nice soft pretzel. The almonds were in little bits, rather than nice slices (for better texture) but it had a nice sweetness to it and was enjoyable. The pretzel dog was very soft, like a simple pretzel bread wrapped over a standard hot dog (that you'd find at a baseball park). Both items were alright, but not very memorable. Overall, you can get a nice treat here -- similar to other Auntie Anne's locations. Pretzels are tasty but not super complex.

Auntie Anne's is hands down my favorite pretzel spot. Their dough is more fragrant and is sweeter than other places' pretzels. I've tried every flavor but always end up getting the sweet almond. Some places have stale/tough sweet almond pretzels but the one here was fantastic in texture and flavor. Sweet almond is one of the few flavors that is in the display case that is ready to go. I guess you can call it a "fast mover," as we do in pharmacy-speak. This location is slightly different because they sell their bottled drinks in a giant cooler outside the store. They are located inside a plaza in a service area off of the freeway. They sell fun/weird drinks that include lemonade mixers in the flavors Swedish fish or Sour Patch Kids. There is a ton of parking outside the plaza.

Upon reading reviews I think people have way too high of expectations when it comes to rest stops. This place gave me a climate controlled place to use the restroom and wash my hands without paying money to get off the thruway! In addition to this I was able to stop into a quick service restaurant, in my case Starbucks, and get something warm to eat and a drink. There is also ample space inside and out to stretch your legs. Where I come from a rest stop is either portalets or a non climate controlled building with toilets and a vending machine.

Larger westbound area, with an abysmal Roy Rogers (aren't they all?), a Starbucks marred by indifferent service but if you need your coffee, there it is, an Annie's Pretzel, and a couple of Travel Mart / Taste of NY stores. The highlight is the NY MKT, where you can actually get greens and salads and vegetables. Bathroom has been hit or miss, as happens in the busy season.

I'm giving it two stars because it was open. The three women working behind the counter at Starbucks seemed more concerned about messing around then taking our order and making our drinks. The frappes we received had way to much syrup, not blended well, and were just disgusting. Really bad experience.
