Branch does not follow NY state banking law section 333 in regard to accessing safe deposit boxes with valid a POA that specifically states it allows the agent to access safe deposit boxes. The box owner is a 91 yo long-time client that has had to relocate out of area for surgery and long-term care for wounds and dementia and cannot travel into the branch.The Pearl River branch was presented all needed ID, original POA, and the key 8/25. Since 6/29 the POA was presented in-person to another Chase branch in our home state and in-branch forms were filled out and notarized to allow agent access to accounts. The agent has had access to transaction accounts on the Chase account since late June. On 8/25 access to the safe deposit box was denied at the Pearl River brand despite all this and told remotely drilling the box was not possible and the agent needs to fly across the country again to close the box.Branch manager, Kanchan Kapur, has a negative attitude, lacks flexibility, customer service skills, and empathy regarding this situation. Her second resolution is to just call a 800 number and make a complaint. DO NOT BANK HERE! Move your money to a local credit union that cares about their customers.

Impossible to speak to someone on the phone. Simply wanted to call to ask if a notary was available. Local branch number spins u in circles with stupid pre recorded touch tone options

If you are in the market for a mortgage do not use Chase. They get you started on the process and take your appraisal fees, then after that good luck getting a hold of anybody.

Best bank I have ever used. I couldn't be happier with everything about this branch. Been going here for over 5 years and have never had an experience that was less than spectacular. Would recommend this chase to everyone.

The people at this bank are always very professional. I had fraud on my checking account, and they gave me a new ATM card right on the spot. They also reversed the fraudulent charges for the past 3 months.

Could be friendlier and act like they want a new account. The Nanuet branch is much more accommodating.
