I have lived here and shopped at ShopRite of Pearl River (twice a week at minimum) for over 30 years. I had an unpleasant experience today at self checkout over an item that scanned incorrectly. It was minor really but the attitudes of the self checkout team member and the front end manager, whom I have never seen before (I will assume he is new), were, to me, major. ShopRite...your loyal customers are not there to steal, get reproached, or have precious time wasted. Stop and correct the bad behavior now before shopping at Stop and Shop looks like the better experience!!!
I want to post this long overdue update...giving it Five Stars. One of the Shop Rite managers called me to express concern and discuss my experience. He assured me that my experience, as well as appropriate protocol, had been discussed with staff. I very much appreciate the call, the concern and the follow-up. Love my Shop Rite of Pearl River!

The bakery is AMAZING! I will be ordering all my cakes from ShopRite Pearl River going forward. I ordered my son's birthday cake and cupcakes from them. They were delicious and so cute. I was able to show them a picture of what I was looking for and they were able to make it! The price is reasonable too. Make sure to order at least 48 hours in advance, they get busy on the weekends for pick up.

I would give zero stars if possible the meat department at this particular ShopRite is absolutely atrocious. We were overcharged for ground beef for no reason and all of the butchers in this department are rude and nasty. You ask them a question and they ignore you do not shop here at all possible!

The hot Buffet is phenomenal! They use Bell & Evans chicken, it's available all day, and I can usually find something that's tolerable even with my low salt diet. I love that there's door is organized in a common sense manner and things are located in only one spot for example you won't find oatmeal in both an oatmeal section and an organic section and a section for Bob's Red Mill. The place just makes sense. The people that work there are kind and helpful and there are always plenty of staff to check people out quickly no matter how crowded the store becomes.

Newly renovated. Staff is friendly, everything is clean. Produce can be off at times. Lots of options. I wasted time going to Lidl once, walked out and went to ShopRite.

I was born and raised in Pearl River and live in New city now. I go out of my way to do to ShopRite in Pearl River cause it’s so much nicer. I can literally walk to New City Shoprite but prefer the Pearl River location. I haven’t been to the Pearl River location in a while because I have been very busy with work. I came in the other day and wanted a nice salad. I cannot say more then WOW! The produce department was stocked so nicely and everything was so fresh. I asked an employee named Rebekah where the salads and dressing were and she was beyond helpful and very professional. I will be shopping here for all of my future needs.
