My family has used this company for a number of years. We can not say enough good things about them. We have an older house and their tech, Tony, is second to none. He is courteous, super responsive and always goes above and beyond. Cassandra kicks butt too.. she seems to be there no matter when we call her! My family and I stay warm each winter due to their dedicated staff. Please be courteous when speaking to either of these great individuals. Many people suck out there but these two are most certainly not them. They will help you when you need it most. Thank you!

We've used Check Oil for years. They've always been great on the phone, prices are competitive, and deliveries have been same-day or next-day. Tony, the tech, is amazing and has gotten us out of more than one emergency. We're lucky to have found them!

Dave, I can't thank you enough for your prompt and courteous service! To run out of oil on a Sunday, with impending ice storm and no available oil companies to service you, is devastating! Your company was my last and only option. After placing a call to your office, two hours later, I had a delivery truck in front of my home! The delivery man was very friendly while working in the midst of freezing temperatures. What a wonderful and reliable company! God bless you!

Check Oil to my rescue! No hot water so called to ask if they would refer a plumber THEY sent Tony in less than 3 hours, Tony assessed the problem, had parts in his truck was done in an hour. Im headed to the shower!!Tried several plumbers-not available for four days- voice-message box full-and call returned after Tony left. Thank you Check Oil

We have used Check Oil for many years. Originally I picked them because they had the best rates and were flexible; and did not lock us into multi year agreements. Over the years they were always there when something broke in the middle of the night. Tony, the repair guy got to know our systems well, and is very reliable.

I welcome anyone to call and inquire about propane rates--what you're told one day is NOT what you'll be told when you follow-up again! Ridiculously high PRICE GOUGING rates to which they aggressively blamed the President. Thanks for sharing your political opinion! I called about 8-companies and am now paying not much more than I paid at the start of this heating season. My previous company was sold which is why I was price shopping propane rates the last few weeks. NOT intending to do business with a company like this thanks to the accurate and telling comments made by other reviewers here. Interesting how people's negative posts get responded to by the company in very threatening and publicly obnoxious ways!

Extremely satisfied, best oil company around, I've been using them for years. I swear by their automatic delivery and service contract. Price is always affordable and they even offer budget plans, which I'm sure is helpful in this day and age.

We have been using Check Oil for two years now and we can't say enough about the reliability, rates and service from this company. We use them exclusively for both oil and propane (auto) delivery as well as having them do the annual maintenance on our boiler and water heater and have NEVER had any problems or issues whatsoever. We have had the pleasure of meeting the owner Dave, as he came out to personally make sure our propane system was set up correctly and up to code, and he was both personable and genuine. Our service tech Tony has our old boiler working so efficiently that we actually started saving money on heating since he has taken over our annual boiler maintenance and he always willing to answers any questions we might have and give us helpful advice. Also we live at the end of a long driveway and anytime we might be concerned about delivery, say before a big snowstorm, the nice folks at the office have always made sure we had a fill up before the storm hit. Again, we can't say enough good things about this company and the great service they provide, if you are looking for a reliable oil/propane provider with very fair rates and service charges, I seriously think you should give theses folks first consideration in your search.PS: I only write these (lengthy) reviews for companies or professionals that I truly feel deserve the praise, if you read the 4 or 5 others I have posted, you will find every one of them is truly worthy.

Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.They kept my debit card number without my knowledge and made unauthorized charges to it. When I called to report this to them, the “manager” was rude and unapologetic. She claimed to have reversed the charge but when I called my bank, they had no record of this being done.We had been using their business for years and most of their service people were nice but after this experience we will find another company.* Regarding the response below:There was no check used in this transaction. I provided a credit card that was to be used but apparently the charge was ran through on my debit card which had been kept on file from a previous service call with out my knowledge. This resulted in money being taken directly from my bank account, not on the credit card as I had requested. Unprofessional, discourteous and rude. Never again.

DO NOT USE THEM. What appealed to me initially were the price points but now switching companies I am actually paying less than I was with them. They are extremely rude and there is zero customer service for anything that goes wrong. They installed a new oil tank (which was very expensive) which had issues shortly after and when I called they told me that it would be a charge for them just to come out and look at it. Let alone fix anything that was wrong with it. That was three weeks after installation. I also asked them to shut off my heat to my basement so it only releases into my house and I was told they could not do that. And again if I wanted somebody to come out it would be another charge just for them to come out and give me their opinion. I switched to another company and found out how horrible this company actually is. I would highly recommend switching or at least calling other places. You will not be disappointed. This company really should not be in business especially with the woman that answers the phones. She has hung up on me a couple of times andProbably one of the rudest people I have ever encountered. It’s a family business so there seems to be no concern or problem with being rude or hanging up the phone on customers. If I knew how I would report them to the Better Business Bureau.

I'm a grumpy malcontent with very little patience. I'd be better off living as a castaway or something- alone on an uninhabited island. I'd probably (definitely) still complain about the quality of coconuts and the loud seagulls. So when I tell you Check Oil is the way to go, take heed. They've always been friendly on the phone and uber-responsive. They've delivered same day for us probably 90% of the time, even on weekends. And mind you, I'm the rube who checks the oil tank when it's -10 degrees in the middle of a nor'easter and realizes there's a gallon left. Never any judgment on their part. Their prices are also great. What else can I say? I'm annoyed by a great many things and people. Check Oil has always been an easy experience and I'm beyond thankful for that.

Two weeks ago I closed on a house prior to the closing Had my final inspection walk-through discovered that one of the heating zones wasn’t working properly my attorney and realtor told me to call check oil I called immediately first thing in the morning 8 o’clock service tech came took care of my problem got my zones operating quickly show me what the problem was purge the system And got heat back up and service my boil a tune up filter changes etc. Thank you check oil for making my experience a happy one and for sending out a friendly good service tech.
