Review for La Car Wash - Peekskill, NY
I’ve been a loyal customer of La Car Wash in Peekskill for over 15 years. Unfortunately, my most recent visit was the final straw in a series of disappointments. The staff has become increasingly rude and unfriendly over time. During my last visit, there were cookie crumbs and some dust on the passenger seat from my daughter. After the cleaning, the crumbs were still there. When I politely pointed it out to one of the workers, he dismissed it, saying it “doesn’t come off.” I ended up cleaning it myself with a piece of paper.
It’s disappointing to see the quality of service drop so significantly, especially after so many years of loyalty.
Today, I discovered a new car wash on Washington Street — and the difference was like night and day. The service was excellent, the staff was respectful and detail-oriented, and despite having only three workers, they did everything by hand and made sure my car was spotless.
Sadly, I won’t be returning to La Car Wash. I’ve found a new place that values both my car and my business.

I was there with my wife about a month ago. I do not live in Peekskill but was there to visit a River Walk. Needed a car wash badly so we pulled in. I must say, the manager Carlos was phenominal in overseeing everything being done to each car. I got the basic inside/outside wash for $25. It was more like a mini detailing! They are meticulous about every little thing. I really thought they did a mistake and gave me an elevated service, but no, that is what you get for $25. The real kicker is the car stayed clean for many weeks. Whatever the secret sauce is, Carlos, keep up the great work. We will be returning to visit a brewery soon and will start off with a car wash. Highly recommeded!

They need to adjust the pressure on the machine. My window rain guard broked because of that. Another thing I still don't understand why there are two tip jars. I'm confused how it works at a car wash is tipping a kindness to the employee or an obligation because they get upset at the entrance when you don't leave a tip but they have to understand that there is another person with another jar when you're getting out. They need to understand that people are going through a difficult time especially now with the inflation and there isn't enough money for tipping everyone at every place you go to.
