Mostly unpleasant experience - multiple internet drops during work day when working from home, poor technical service with long waits that don't resolve original issue, faulty equipment and poor customer service reps. They are the only game in town which sucks.

Staff is friendly and helpful. Optimum, however is one of the worst companies i have ever dealt with. Unfortunately they hold a monopoly on the internet service in my area and I can't use a different provider.

Called to cancel my Optimum internet service on 10/28/23. My billing cycle ends on the 7th of the month. Internet service was suspended on 11/7 as requested.When I went to return my router/equipment I was told that the person I spoke to on the phone did not cancel my internet service (despite internet not being available after 11/7) and that I would need to pay for an additional month (11/7-12/7).I don't know how charging for services not received can be legal. A report has been filed with the Better Business Bureau- no surprise that they have an 'F' rating with BBB.If I could leave a 0 star review I would. Customers beware- strongly encourage using any other options for internet providers.

I can't think of a less competent company. We moved and had the gall to change addresses and move the account from one name to another. For 4 months, we have been given multiple different answers and NO SOLUTIONS that have left us unable to pay our bill due to this company's sheer incompetence. I wish I had other options. This is an abomination. I can't even give this company money because of their labyrinthian website and lack of service. Run if you can.

Very slow internet.. everytime we call, they will say we need to upgrade.. we upgraded twice already but nothing happens! Most of the night no internet connections. Always asking for increase in payment but the service is very poor.

I would give this zero stars if I could. Rude people working here, the service is quite honestly the worst...we pay for 1gb of upload speeds and getting only killobites (literally had a game download quote a year to download because of how slow the download speeds) Customer Service tells you to go into the store to get things fixed that they "can't fix" (which they may well not be, but screw customer service for sending angry people to people who can't do anything). I would suggest lighting yourself on fire over EVER using optimum. I'm so sorry for the people who work here who have to deal with the planned incompetence that is Optimum for the shit pay and benefits they are given.

Great customer service experience in-store. Leanne was super helpful, patient and nice. The phone help line still has some issues so the 5 star is for my store experience.

Constant channel pixelating on tv service for over a month. Two service calls, fixes problem for a day then back to the same. Supposed to be able to buy our own equipment such as a modem but the equipment is so obsolete that you can't buy one new. They don't sell them either. Only old used ones on Amazon. Constant outage of internet and telephone service at various times of the day. Can't ever speak to a Supervisor when requested. Worst service ever. Service rep lied when she said my next service call was scheduled for the next day and when I spoke with another rep, they informed me she never scheduled any service call. A tech rep called me and had me rebooting modem for over 15 minutes to no avail, they have you do their job!

I have been with Cablevision for many years. They have discounts you have to ask for. You just have to remember they give you two years. I recently called because my bill Jumped almost $120.Called up and wasable to keep my package getting HD Cable Boxes and putting in Fiber optic line from the pole. My bill went down $130!. Some advice stay away from Verizon as they don't work with you. I was with them for a year and went back to Cable. More programs and work with you. Highly recommended ?
