Spectacularly over-charged. Told the bill would be 1k, they charged me 1.9k. Will give them a chance to correct the bill but I’m not confident they will fix it. UPDATE: Received a reply to my review saying "the resonator fell off after the pipe it was connecting to the catalytic converter was installed....and had to be replaced which cost $800" none of this work was explained to me or even included on my bill. I don't even think this applies to my vehicle. The bill says they replaced 4 spark plugs (they were replaced last year at a different location) and 4 ignition coils (one of which was replaced last year), and they did front brake pads and rotors. How this amounts to $1,900 is beyond me. It took them 4 hours to do the spark plugs and ignition coils? Bet. Would love to know what gold plated rotors they are using that they can charge $175 EACH. This location is SUPER shady, do not go here.

I was charged $350 for TWO rear brake rotors. This is a $35-$45 part. Monro also charged me $218 for "brake fluid exchange." If I didn't normally charge my brakes myself I wouldn't have known better. When I complained to the store manager, he said, “I’m sorry, yea, that’s our package. It’s not right but it’s our package.” So my experience is simple: Monro Ripped Me Off.

The oil change includes tire rotation. My front tires were slightly better than the rear so no rotation done.

Jose, Francesca, and Sheldon went above and beyond. My car was very badly damaged in a minor accident. The repair was very expensive. All 3 were very kind in handling the bad news and understanding/flexible about my need to leave the car with them until payday. And, despite how complicated I understood it was to get all the necessary parts, Sheldon acquired everything needed amazingly quickly and Jose immediately committed himself to my repair. It was completed in lightening speed. I have never had that experience. I anticipated (based on past experiences) being without a car for weeks. In the end, they saved me a lot of money in rental car costs. I can’t believe what an amazing job they did while being just great people to work with. I really appreciate them.

I called and made an appointment to have my wife's car looked at. I told them that it had 1 bad ignition coil. I was quoted between 1400 and 2k to replace them all. I said I only wanted the one I knew was bad done on the phone. I asked if there was a charge for the diagnostics and was told no. So I brought the car in this morning. I got a call this afternoon saying "all 4 coils and sparkplugs need to be replaced." I told the woman who called not to do anything, I wasn't replacing 3 good coils and plugs that don't need it. She said "ok, bye." and hung up. Never offered a price to replace just the 1 that was bad, never mentioned anything about charges we might incur. A few hours later my wife went to pick it up and was hit with a $259 bill for "advanced diagnostics". I called and spoke to the shop manager, I told him I was told when I made the appointment there was no charge for diagnostics. He said that was wrong, he doesn't know why the girl who made the appointment told me that. I told him that I was not spending money to replace 3 good coils and plugs, he said I declined to have just the one replaced. I was never offered that. I was told all 4 needed to be done. He said the desk girl was still being trained and she made a mistake. He doesn't know why she didn't offer me to do just the one. I asked how much for just the one and was quoted over $300 for the coil and $80 for the sparkplug. Autozone has a 4 pack of coils for under $400 and plugs are $10-12 each. Highway robbery! When I asked him why it was $80 for a spark plug the only answer I got was, that's what the company charges. No offer was made to discount or refund the diagnostic fee we paid. Instead the manager offered to waive the labor and give us $100 off the total for the inconvenience if we did the 1 coil/plug. I cannot justify paying such a ridiculous markup when I could easily get the parts and do it myself for a fraction of the price. I only brought the car in there because I didn't want to waste the time doing it myself outside in the cold. Lesson learned I guess. I told the manager he can delete my file because I will never step foot in that shop again. They are taking complete advantage of people and don't seem to care in the least when you call them out on it. Complete and utter rip-off. If you can, do the work yourself or find an honest mechanic who won't gouge you nearly 10X markup on parts.

I went to Monro with what I thought was just a tire concern. They were able to diagnose and repair all of the issues that my car had and I feel much safer and confident while driving based on their service.

I recently went to Monro Muffler in Penfield to purchase a new tire. I’d gotten a flat the day before. They said before they would sell me a tire they wanted to check the tire for punctures and/or leaks. They found the tire was leaking from the rim. They fixed the problem for $38.00 !!!!! The most honest mechanic I’ve ever been to. And the place is neat and clean.

Went in for an inspection and was treated AMAZINGLY. Francesca and Sheldon worked their butts off to make sure it was done in a timely manner. While waiting I had a lovely conversation with Francesca, and Sheldon took time to explain what was going on with my car and answered every question I had. Absolutely would highly recommend coming here for any of your auto needs!
