I have used Aldo's services for over 5 years. He has helped me with my WIFI and printer at home and installed new equipment, like modems, etc. He has also helped me select a new PC, then set it up by moving all my data over to it and updating any programs that were needed. I have had nothing but exemplary services from him at reasonable prices.

As a local resident in the Village of Pittsford, I have used their computer repair services on multiple occasions. For myself and my kids macbook air laptops the repairs were professional, reliable and Aldo makes himself dependable in helping us out when in need.

I would like to share my is experience with Fixing Fox computer services. I do not pretend to have a good skill set with my limited knowledge of computers , maintenance or whom to trust with regard to dealing with in this area.It has been a very positive interaction over the past two plus years that Aldo from Fixing Fox has been a great asset to me.The advice and overseeing he has provided to me is invaluable and there is no one else I would approach for services.Fixingfox has helped me out with my home network wifi, my new ipad, my new iphone and my laptop.

BEWARE!!!! This is a very sketchy business. The owner’s business practices are very poorly handled, if not deceitful…I took my iPad to Fixing Fox because it wouldn’t charge. I am pretty sure I need a new usb charging port. I still need one, even after the owner of Fixing Fox said that he had fixed my iPad.Upon arrival to Fixing Fox, he asked me to sign an authorization for services. I read through the contract, and then I told the owner that I was not comfortable signing the contract because he had not given me an estimate. We had a very clear conversation about this. He said that he would call me with an estimate before doing any repairs. I signed and wrote next to it that my signature was dependent on the estimate.The next day he called and left a message to call him back. When I called back he said that he had fixed my iPad and asked when I wanted to pick it up. He also said that the repair was $105. I had to ask three times what he did to fix it. After asking the third time, he responded that he had cleaned the port. $105 to clean the port is an outrageous charge. I reminded him of our agreement that he would call me with the estimate before providing any services, which he responded “I’ll meet you half way. What can you pay? I responded with $50. He said $70. I didn’t feel like haggling on the phone, so I just said I would go the next day to pick it up.My husband and I went the next day to pick up my iPad. My husband is an IT expert for a well known company. So he knows what he’s talking about.Upon arrival, we started a conversation with the owner about what he had done compared to the price. He ignored what we were saying. I said that if what it needed was cleaning, I would have done this myself. We also reminded him that my agreement was based on the estimate, and he didn’t wait for me to approve the service. He outright ignored what we were telling him. He repeatedly told us that he fixed the iPad. I could see we weren’t going to have a civil conversation with him, so I Venmo’d $50 to him and we left. He followed us out and started taking pictures of our license plates. I asked him what he planned to do with them, and he responded that he was going to get his money. I said, then give me a copy of the authorization I signed. The owner refused to give us a copy, or to even see it. So we left.A day later, my iPad started acting up again. He had not fixed my iPad at all. So not only did I have to endure a very upsetting conversation with the owner, but I wasted $50. Part of the charge was a diagnostic test, which I now question if this was actually done.I wish I had listened to the negative reviews before going. If I could give negative stars, I would! I do not recommend this place. Go elsewhere!!! You have been warned.

I called Fixing Fox in tears when a bottle of water spilled on my brand new M1 macbook and it shut down instantly. They told me to bring it over right away and they would see what they could do. My husband dropped it off within minutes, and a couple days later here I am writing this 5 star review on my still brand new macbook, as if nothing happened at all. I cannot recommend them highly enough - thank you for quite literally saving my professional life!!!

I debated about purchasing a new laptop to replace a 9 year-old Lenovo Flex 15. I brought it to Fixing Fox (my first visit to this computer repair shop in Pittsford NY), and am happy that I did so. After an upgrade to replace some “tired” parts, update the operating system, and complete the recovery and transfer of data, I now have a computer that I am very pleased with and saved a few hundred dollars in the process. My entire experience with Fixing Fox was very positive. Aldo, the owner, was consistently professional in explaining what needed to be done and offered helpful advice. Based on my experience with other computer repair professionals, the rates charged were reasonable and fair. In addition, the work was completed on schedule. I highly recommend Fixing Fox.

I was beyond thrilled to see years worth of family photos and videos I was certain had been permanently lost suddenly appear on a fully restored MacPro, thanks to Fixingfox. Aldo did what Apple technicians weren’t even able to do—successfully recover all the damaged photo/video files from three damaged/outdated Apple devices. Getting to watch my teenage children spend hours together looking through so many cherished memories of their childhood was incredibly special for all of us. I highly recommend Fixingfox Computers of Rochester for any of your computer needs. Thank you, Aldo, for recovering the precious moments we thought we wouldn’t get to see again, and for your expert service and professionalism.

After a couple of days to reflect on the service I got, I am fairly dissatisfied with my experience with Fixing Fox.First, the person who I spoke with (Aldo, I believe) did not seem interested in asking questions about my laptop issues nor explaining what he did or why. I of course could have done a better job asking questions, but I felt rushed out of there when I dropped off my laptop. He tested the hard drive, said it failed, and replaced it for what seemed to me a decent price. Now that I am home with my computer and trying to reinstall the programs I need, it is pretty obvious to me that the issue is just as much or more about the RAM than the hard drive, but this was never brought up at all. As a result, I still have a laptop that is working very hard just to run a couple of programs, and will likely need to be replaced or upgraded again soon, even with a new harddrive. Disappointing, but I could have handled it better.More strikingly unsatisfying, though, was the interaction around payment. I was not told until after my laptop was upgraded and ready to pick up that they were not currently accepting credit, only cash, check, or venmo. Well, I am visiting town from out of the country, and did not have any checks, do not have my American bank nearby to easily withdraw, and only my husband's phone has venmo. When I picked up my computer, I texted my husband to venmo the cost, but he did not get my message since he was working. I was told it was fine to leave with my machine and make sure my husband did the transfer later. When I got home, it turned out my husband was having issues verifying his account (due to issues with not having the same phone). Now, I take total responsibility for the fact that I should have emailed them immediately to let them know of the issue and perhaps make other arrangements - but because they were so chill about it earlier (go ahead and leave with the computer, no worries, i know you'll pay!), I forgot to send an update, assuming we'd get the payment out as soon as we dealt with venmo to verify the account. However, this in no way excuses how this was handled. They called my cell 4 times within 30 minutes and also emailed me - after 630 pm, while I was cooking dinner and eating with my family - and then when they did not get a response, SHOWED UP AT MY DOOR. For an outstanding charge of less than $250, fewer than 5 hrs after time of pickup. It was very unnerving, a very aggressive way to do business, and I am just very thankful I was in a family home, because showing up at the residence of a young woman who may live or be alone is totally unacceptable.When I picked up the computer I was pretty pleased and ready to recommend their services. After a few days and highly unpleasant interactions, I wouldn't recommend their services to anyone.

My mac mini was performing poorly and my husband's cousin recommended fixing fox. He fixed my computer in one day, I couldn't believe how fast it was! He gave me some instructions on maintaining my computer that I wouldn't have thought I could do at home. I appreciated his help and the rates were very reasonable. I will definitely come back here!

When we accidentally brought our computer in to be fixed without first removing a 4th grade booktalk that was due the next day, we left a message for Louis on a Sunday ( they are closed in Sunday) that we had a “situation”. He picked up our message, drove all the way in to work from Hemlock and emailed us the needed assignment!! He has fixed one of our other computers for us as well and even made a house call . The prices are fair and the service is unbeatable!!! Highly recommend!! Peter and Margot Lutz

What a joy it has been to work with this group. My Mac is 2X+ faster. His workmanship was outstanding and prices were very reasonable. We tried an alternative on a MSN platform, didn't do what we had hoped.He came by and fixed it in 2 hours. My recommendation-- all day long.
