Although we only just engaged with AWC, I can safely say they are extremely organized and, thorough and knowledgeable about managing cooperatives. Our previous manager was a disaster and left us little information as well as almost no help in transitioning.AWC had several employees (in addition to our direct property manager) get us organized and set up.They pointed out methodologies that our prior manager was doing incorrectly (if not illegally). As the Board President, they made the difficult transition as easy as possible.Looking forward to a long relationship with them.

Horrible management company that doesn't take responsibility for what they said and that only focuses on charging more money. The people who handled my case got really rude once I mentioned about a reimbursement that is supposed to be issued to me as told by the assessor's office. Even the assessor's office person said that this company does this so many times regardless of them giving them the information that they need to do the work. Avoid this company if you are looking for a property management company, or avoid the co-op that has this as their management company.

I am a RE agent. I have to deal with many management companies for Co-Op and Condo rental/sales packages. Tracy, the legal coordinator at Alexander W., was very helpful and quick to respond to my questions. They are a very good property management company.

I am a real estate agent who has been working with Alexander Wolf for 18 years. They are a premier management company and their office staff is remarkable. Valerie, Kecia and Jamie have been of enormous help in every aspect of management. They are attentive, responsive, organized and efficient. John and Richard, you run a superb organization! It is an extreme pleasure and privilege to work with them. Great staff!Respectfully Yours,Trudy Elliott

Board staff is rude and nasty - a client was in the process of purchasing at 89-40 151st Ave in Queens, NY and was denied an interview with NO reason behind it. The application fee was $785 the client already had mortgage approval, clients DTI and income met board requirements but the board denied her an interview with no explanation after reviewing her income and tax docs. They were extremely rude when you called in to ask questions. Their paralegal Valerie is also extremely rude when I called in to ask a question she said “ok what do you want?”AVOID business with this board at all costs.

I don't even the words to express how incredibly HORRIBLE, unhelpful, discourteous this management (mismanagement) company this is. They have no respect for their tenants nor do they know how to actually a building. They know only ONE thing - how to overcharge, create false charges and continually bill tenants until they bleed. They are atrocious !!If you are looking into a any building where they are a part, RUN ! Read the other reviews, they are not wrong. They want nothing but money - that's it! and they will do anything to force it out of you. If you don't' pay, they will simply increase penalties - at some point (when you sell the unit) you will bound to pay their RANSOM.I can't say enough bad about this poor, sad excuse for management company. As others have said, if there was the ability apply a negative rating, they would and should receive the worst possible rating.

If anyone out there is considering purchasing an apartment in the building managed by this horrible company, please stay away. My building is managed by his magesty the prince John Wolf Jr. himself. I have never seen anyone who has no clue what he is talking about. Daddy's boy got a comfortable job. He is a total disaster and everyone in this company is a total disaster to deal with. STAY AWAY!!!

I couldn't agree with Cindy A more when she says "all they appear to do is harass owners like me and charge them extra "fees" .......They were too busy charging condo owners lease "filing fees" and "late fees" for HOAs that were cashed by them on the 1st of every month, which I still have to get resolution on." I have been subject to the same horrible treatment. Let me also add that they neglect to send out invoices but are quick to charge erroneous fees and fail to correct their mistakes.

For the past 4 years the management company of ALEXANDER WOLF AND CO. has been horrible at providing adequate heat to our buildings. My apartment has been cold and below the mandatory 68 degrees on a daily basis. We have to use our oven and dryer to supplement heat in our apartment. We have had to insulate our windows and our son has to sleep in layers of clothing. We spend a large amount of money monthly on maintenance and have the same issue over and over. Year after year we reach out to the management company - and NOTHING CHANGES. Yesterday when I reached out to the managing agent to let him know of this situation and to let him know we will be taking further action, he hung up the phone on me. I am disgusted with the way this management company has been handling the lack of heat in all the buildings. Besides inhaling at the toxins and extra gas from the oven, our gas bill and electricity has gone up. Alexander wolf and company is a terribly run management company and needs to be helped accountable for this.

I've been living in my COOP for the last 4 years. Every winter we CONSTANTLY have heating issues. We have a 4 year old. Since 2018 we have to keep him in bundles every winter while awake and during his sleep. It took me 2.5 years for this management to replace my son's bedroom window. (Side note- issues with our bedroom and living room windows too.) Every winter we have to compensate for lack of heat using ( OVENS DRYERS SPACE HEATERS.). Every winter it's the same eloquent B******* about the lack of heating excuses. Right now I'm feeling the negative effects in my nasal region. (NO GOOD what my family and son must inhale DAILY N NIGHTLY). House goes below 68 degrees. My maintenance is more than what most millionaires pay for their coops. ( few of them jokingl-seriously laugh at me because it's BS for what I get). My wife called John(son of the mgmt) and he hung up on her when she expressed her frustrations. 4 years and almost 100k plunged into maintenance WE CANT GET ADEQUATE HEAT OR NEW WINDOWS. NOW MY ELECTRIC AND GAS BILLS SKYROCKETED. CIRCUIT BREAKER IS TRIPPING. This summer 2021 the previous boiler had been demolished and replaced. We have half our boilers working. Management screwed up by hiring a shady Contractor to do the job. You experienced readers know the rest. The heat is there in the radiators but not enough. You can keep your hand on the radiator for 1hour and still won't get burnt. I appreciate my board of directors (I was one of them). I know they are trying sincerely to do their best. Our Custodial staff is great too and Super is responsive to our needs. Ive caulked my windows and insulated to no avail. I'm done risking my families safety between the fumes and risk of I CANT TAKE IT ANYMORE. JOHN PROBABLY SLEEPS WELL IN HIS HOME WITH HIS KIDS AND MY CO-SHAREHOLDERS HAVE TO SUFFER FOR HIS INCOMPETENCE WHEN THIS SHOULD BE A NO BRAINER TO THIS MGMT BECAUSE IM SURE MY COOPERATIVES HEATING ISSUE ISNT THEIR FIRST. Im going to the doctor later today because I'm feeling dizzy and can feel my respiratory tract wheezing. I KNOW MY RANT ISNT FULLY COMPREHEND ABLE DUE TO WRITING OF MY CURRENT EMOTION.

Waited for two months for them to send a simple coop application. They demand two checks made out to Alexander & Wolf only to REJECT the well qualified applicant and STEAL YOUR MONEY. They robbed me with attitude like they're entitled to do so because of a clause stated in terms of the application. Thats how they do business. They will rob you and are not required to give you a reason for rejection! AVOID!!!

A joke of a management company, they do not care about safety, health or wellbeing of any property that they assume to manage.Calls go unanswered, no on site personable interactions with owners and residents.Dennis K. should not be allowed to even work in an industry he claims he cares about. He is unprofessional, unethical and unreliable! Please think twice about using this company they are NOT the example management companies should be!

They might be good with simple things like a parking sticker but when it comes to more advanced problems they are horrible they might get back to you after you call them 3 or 4 times.A phone call is simple and they can't even do that.Don't hold your breath.

the worst managing agent in history. they've delayed closing on an apartment at 55 e 65th street for weeks due to bizarre application process from the middle ages. would never recommend them to another coop in manhattan. principal and administrative staff are horrifically uncommunicative and lazy. pathetic company that should be out of business.
