I’m not typically one to come on Google to write a review, but what occurred this past Friday was simply unacceptable. On Friday, October 3, I went into the Apple bank Plainview location to assist my grandmother with her banking needs. She is 93 years old and is extremely hard of hearing. She asked me to come along to help her interpret. When we approached the tellers counter, we asked the women behind the counter to please help her close her account. The moment we had said that, the assistant branch manager Nahib Karimzada approached us and asked my grandmother why she wanted to close her account. She had indicated to the staff for a 3rd time that she is keen on consolidating her accounts to just one bank and needed the money. Nahib insisted that she would need to travel to Elmont where my grandmother had originally opened the account a decade ago. My grandmother does not travel easily on long drives, and insisted that the account be closed at this location. As I began to interject on my elderly grandmother’s behalf, Nahib told me to “go away” as she attempted to coerce her into staying as an account holder. Hardly the conduct of an assistant branch manager. She even waved her hand in my face like we were at some flea market. My grandmother indicated that it was ok for me to listen to their conversation, after all that’s why I had come in the first place. Nahib began to get angry and had an angry look on her face. I told her to please execute my grandmother’s wishes without problem, but she began to ignore and drag out the process. This incident lasted much longer than it had to, and made my grandma feel upset and uncomfortable. The account was subsequently closed, and we left the branch feeling attacked. My grandma was an account holder at this bank for almost 2 decades. I have already encouraged many of my family and friends (who are account holders) to not use this bank under any circumstances due to the actions and behavior of assistant branch manager Nahid Karminzada. They are looking to close their accounts as well. I hope that Apple Bank will take action to prevent something like this from happening again to someone else. I am reaching out to the Apple Bank corporate offices to relay a detailed complaint about one of their assistant branch managers Nahid Karimzada, and the terrible behavior she exhibited to an elderly woman. Shame on her, and the entirety of this branch.

I have been a customer for over 2 decades. The tellers know everyone’s last names ave always engaging. The supervisors are all available and are approachable. Do they always offer the best rates? No.
All that’s missing is coffee and danish

Been a customer for over 30 years.
There are many much larger banks within the vicinity, but none of them come anywhere close to the personal touch and helpfulness provided by the management team at Apple Bank Plainview.
I often work with Nahid, she's always eager to help and makes potential stressful situations, stress free!!!
Plan to be customer for another 30 years.

I called to make a simple question and a women over the phone answered with such a condecending attitude! before the conversation was over she simply hung up on me ! Terrible customer service !

Bank tellers are always respectful and friendly. Tammy, the bank associate is knowledgeable and informative. Not sure how long she's been with this branch in Plainview...I am so glad she is there.

I have been a long-time customer of Apple Bank for many years and this particular branch has been extremely helpful, very professional and reliable. You can count that your concerns, questions and of course investment (money) is well secured protected. The staff are very courteous and provide an excellent customer service.

Very rude bank officer. Did what was needed but without any (even faked) hint of kindness, empathy or help. Back turned on us even before we could get ready to leave her cubicle. (Was with my elderly mom who needs a lot of physical assistance, even with a walker.)

This Bank has caused me a lot of grief and lost funds. In the beginning, I saw an interest rate better than other nearby banks advertised. I went there to open an IRA. While I was there, they told me by the way, that mid term they will take out a certain amount of money from my account. I let it be. My account matured Sept 21, 2021. I called twice and asked them to transfer the funds. Incidentally, they said that firstly they will need to take out a sum of money for closing the account with them. Every week I called the new institution to ask if they got the funds. They did not send it out until Nov. 5th! I lost out on a great offer and a great deal of money.

Such antiquated process here. One branch doesn't communicate with the other, and everything is a challenge here. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone looking for good quality service.
