CapitalOne really showed me how bad their service is compared to TDBank, apples-to-apples.
I have accounts across a few banks, including TDBank and CapitalOne. This particular branch of CapitalOne has rubbed me the wrong way twice in the past: Once when I was trying to set up a savings account, and again when I was trying to get a CD together. On both occasions they made it abundantly clear I should just do this online rather than bothering them. This is my third interaction with them. I had to deposit some old bonds my granma set up for me. The bank manager literally told me to my face that they’re an awful lot of work, and it’s too much work for poor defenseless CapitalOne to spend its valuable time on. BUT NOT TO WORRY! All I need to do is visit a federal website, get a confirmation number, mail the bonds to the fed, follow up a few weeks later and manage the distribution of funds presuming everything went well. What the heck. It’s like the pizza place saying it’s too much trouble to make the pizza, so why don’t you go buy some dough and bake one yourself.
SO. I drove a mile down the road to TDBank. Polar opposite. I plug in my debit card, they take the bonds, I sign ‘em and the funds are in my account ready for use immediately. Took 5 minutes, no fuss, and they even had a lollipop for me. Amazing.
TLDR for face-to-face service TDBank is 5 out of 5, CapitalOne is a generous 1 out of 5.

I have great credit and still for every $1,000 I pay, only $100 goes to my balance. Interest and APR is ridiculous with no option to lower regardless if you always are on time with payments or have a high credit score.

This bank makes it super inconnveient to deposit or withdraw money. The atm is always out of order. It has not been working for weeks and I keep telling them inside.Thats the first problem but the atm is literally on a hill that is super steep and narrow. It is like almost impossible not to beat up your cars' rims.Honestly if their apr on savings was not so high I would not be having any of my money with them. They are truly awful. Not to mention you cant even open an account inside the branch you can only do it online.

ZERO STARS! They have no in person managers who can help you. Their tellers are inept. I did an online bill pay and Capital One incorrectly assigned the routing number. It is THEIR mistake and the funds are missing and they are incapable of tracing funds. BEWARE! No in person reps to help and on the phone they have no authority to do anything. Your money is better placed in a bank with IN PERSON managers. Have been a customer for years but will be taking my money and business elsewhere.

On September 3, 2019 I paid a balance in full for $3,738.52 On September 10th made a charge of $18.10 and then on September 12th see that my balance is $74.45 and they had charged me an interest charge of $56.35 on an $18.10 balance! I called customer service to ask them to waive that charge since obviously it was for my high balance which I had already made payment in full and it was posted to the account 9 days prior to that interest charge and they told me they were unable to waive it. I then asked to speak with a manager who also claimed they would not be able to remove this charge. I was forced to close my account for something that could've simply been resolved. Obviously Capital One is more concerned with screwing their customers over for a few bucks than keeping a long time customer who always makes their payments on time!

This location has been my banking location for a very long time. The service has always been very good with knowledgeable attentive staff at your service. The bank recently remodeled the entire branch with a contemporary flair and the space appears much more airy for a small branch of Cap One. The parking lot can be a bit challenging on weekends. Its best that you choose to walk in for service rather than wait on their outdoor car service which could be slow on weekends.

The customer service there is horrible. Extremely unprofessional in how they deal with their customers and how they correct their mistakes. They make me think twice about having them manage any of my money.
