I joined a year ago for the pool and I thoroughly enjoy the warm water (which makes it easier to get motivated to swim during the winter months), as well as the super clean locker rooms and showers. But what I love best is how warm and welcoming the staff is -- when I pop in, they know me by name and always take the time to say hello and ask how I'm doing. When I call, they are super helpful. They just seem very attuned to their clients, which has not been my experience at other fitness centers. I don't take advantage of many of their programs, but am impressed by how much they offer, and I also love that they give back to the community through their food pantry, coat drive and other initiatives. Highly recommend!

Customer service is terrible. Had a question about a refund regarding my kids swim classes, spoke with Marcy Rosenbaum who works at membership services and was rudely cut off by her mid sentence. Couldn’t even explain further until I talked back to her and directly stated how rude she was to me. Very unwelcoming and off putting. She ended up apologizing but the damage had already been done. I’m pretty sure I’m not the only person that has experienced this. I just signed up this month during their open house promo and I’m regretting this sign up (locked in for a year).

I joined 6 months ago and am enjoying it immensely. Friendly staff, fabulous instructors, very clean facilities and varied activities to develop and maintain a fitness routine.

Do you think they'll give the Christian maintenance staff off for the Christian holidays I think not..tReligion is only important When it concerns those of the Jewish faith Imagine if it was the opposite and the person of Jewish faith couldn't get up for their High holy day can you imagine the outrage

After my first withdrawal I vow to let people know about Murphy Sherry for her good work, with a minimum investment of $500 I made $6000 in a week

The Y has been a source of friendship, education, recreation, fitness and community since we moved to plainview in 1987. Our children grew up there and loved it. My husband and I sold our Plainview home 2 years ago and still maintain our membership. If you are in the area, Mid Island Y is the place to be.

I just came back to the JCC since March and was so impressed by how clean and sanitary they are with so many COVID precautions! I will unfreeze my membership after my visit today and can’t wait to exercise here regularly. The staff is so nice too!

The Mid Island Y Jcc has had some events and does so throughout the year. One was Cassino night which was 50 dollars a person, including a game show, food and fun play at the tables. Last year they did a carnival for Purium on March 17th 2019. I am not sure if or how it went this year considering all that has been happening. But as time has flown by Im adding pictures* taken a year ago at their carnival event. This said, they do have a list of multiple and varied activities for many ages of people. They also have a beautiful pool along with a swim team. They have sign ups for membership, courses and activities of exercise, Spin, and more, at different times throughout the year. There is a small concession stand with snacks and a elegantly dressed lady selling beautiful things, It is to the side just after you have cleared the security guards always on duty there.

Best bang for your buck and with everything under 1 roof. It's not state of the art but it's clean, staff are very nice and it's never packed right before they close. Steam room & sauna in locker room, jacuzzi in pool area. Great morning exercise classes! Gym is small and it could get a little crowded if you go right after work. You've got to go during off hours.
