I took my daughter here to shop for a bat mitzvah dress. She wanted a special dress to make her stand out on her special day. We searched many stores for something not too childish and not too mature. The people working at the store were so kind and helpful. They made her feel like her opinion in the process was the most important. We fell in love with a gorgeous white dress, but my daughter really wanted a high/low style. The expert tailors at Outrageous Boutique turned my daughter’s gown into the dress of her dreams!!! She could hardly wait to wear it for her bat mitzvah. It fit her like a glove. She danced for hours in that dress. Thank you Outrageous Boutique!

I went here looking for a reasonably priced dress for my courthouse wedding. I was going to settle for something on Amazon, but decided to go “just look at dresses” (with about 6 days before I said “I do”). I came across Outrageous Boutique by a referral… and I could not recommend this boutique more! The owner (I’m so sorry I cannot remember your name with all of my chaos!) was SO accommodating and sweet. Everyone was. All the girls that helped me try on like 20 dresses.. literally everyone I came across was so helpful and kind. Of course I found a dress I loved, but I didn’t think I’d be able to have it ready in time for my wedding. The owner told me she would get it done and I couldn’t believe it! Everyone here helped make my wedding day so special and I couldn’t thank them enough for having my dress ready for me in LESS than a week!!! THANK YOU!

This place is pretty mediocre. Definitely hasn’t been updated in years & you can tell when you’re inside. Owner is snobby and does not help to assist customers at all. They have a very sparse selection of prom dresses. Ask Alice in Syosset is definitely the better choice!

Almost made the mistake of shopping for my daughter’s sweet 16 here. Don’t waste your time. I’m glad the owner made the decision easy by being rude and not helpful whatsoever. Apparently helping customers is a burden. We are definitely taking our business elsewhere.

Picked up my daughters dress a few weeks ago and I was mortified about my interaction with the owner. When my daughter and I first visited there in July we were assisted by 3 younger employees who very polite, professional and knowledgeable. They helped my daughter find the perfect sweet 16 dress. Owner was not there that day thankfully. Had she been there I most definitely would not have given this place my business. What a train wreck. She is abrasive, rude, condosending and just not nice at all. She is not welcoming in the least. I really regretted buying my daughters dress here after this one interaction. My 15 year old even commented on her treatment of her employees. She was horrified by the way she was speaking to them. I really feel sorry for all of those girls. If your daughter works there….get her out please!!!Also my daughters dress needed some additional detailing which after being quoted one price on the day of purchase (written on the receipt), she more than doubled it when I picked up the dress. When I mentioned I was quoted a different price and it was noted on the receipt, she agreed to honor it but said for that price we’d have to scale back on the details. By then my daughter and I just agreed to get out of there with the dress and get this done elsewhere.

This place is so bad is worst than Zero. the owner is the rudest nastiest person i've ever met in my life. i feel genuinely horrible for the poor underage teenagers that work there. no money is worth the way they get treated. my party and i walked in and she didn't allow us past the entrance. mind you we already spent about 2 thousand dollars on one of her dresses. we were just going back for a fitting. save yourself the therapy bill and just go somewhere else.

I had been all over Long Island. A friend of my daughter’s finally recommended Outrageous Boutique. I read the reviews and was hesitant. But, with few options left we went. From the moment we stepped in the door they could not have been more helpful and attentive. Instantly my daughter saw the dress that we had tried on in several other stores but I hesitated to buy because of price and lack of knowledge about the dress. Abby was amazing!! She measured and re-measured. My daughter is only 5’1” the dress will need to. be shortened and we want to raise the waist. Other stores wanted $500. Due to the price of the dress they capped alterations at $200. I cannot say enough nice things. We had a great experience and ended our extensive search at Outrageous Boutique.

Not sure why the owner just doesn't have a better scheduling system. If you call she can never find anything by name cause she doesn't want to look through names, just get your shop better organized alphabetically! Shes a seamstress that turns into a dress shop for prom, so I understand it can get busy & hectic but there is never a reason to be rude and that's what you are Amy- Avery RUDE person that doesn't know how to run a business professionally!!

I don't understand these other reviews. First of all I can say Amy is the BEST seamstress on Long Island hands down. She has altered at least 4 bridesmaid dresses of mine and they come out PERFECT. She is to the point and knows exactly what she needs to do AND makes you feel good. I would trust her with my life. She's also SO reasonable. I can't wait to get married one day so she can also alter my wedding dress. Thank you Amy you're the best!

Owner extremely rude. Emailed prior to my visit to see if they could order my size in a dress I’ve been looking everywhere for and she said yes. I get there and she denys everything saying what makes you think we have it if others didn’t even though I literally have the email and can pull it up. “I can assure you I didn’t say that.” Wasted my time drove 45 min.

this place should be shut down. i went in with a friend and she picked out a few dresses and tried on two, then the owner approached and said she was "too big to try on anymore dresses". this behavior is absolutely disgusting and this woman should not be allowed near teenage girls when they're at such an impressionable age. some lifeless dress shop owner is damaging young girls self esteems and should not be allowed NEAR them. this behavior is disgusting, do not shop here, do not support this woman. (my friend is a size 4 btw)
