“I recently won an item from an online-hybrid auction. The auction house itself doesn't offer shipping for most items, but they provided a list of companies that will secure and ship the lot. Newburgh was on that list, so I reached out for a quote. Tina got back to me within one business day.
It wasn't cheap, but once you factor in the time it takes for them to travel to the auction house, secure the lot, package it, and then actual shipping costs, it's really quite reasonable. They certainly did not skimp on the bubble wrap, either. They obviously weren't taking any chances that FedEx would handle with care.

“Milton's post office is a remnant from a past world. It's 'Post mistress's knows all it's patrons and has you packages that are too large to fit into your PO box on the counter before you ask. It is a reminder that there were once places that didn:t exist to process customers like they were a machine.”

“Never had a problem here. There’s always a familiar clerk at the window — a Caucasian female with darker hair that’s always been pleasant and helpful.
Yes, it’s rather inconvenient that the service window/counter closes down entirely for 90 minutes Monday-Friday for lunch, but ALL of the smaller POs in this area do that.”
“Excellent post office. Brand new facility. You can either mail it yourself or go in and the Postal worker will help you.
The staff is exceptional. It's extremely well stocked with boxes & other mailing items like bubble envelopes, etc.
Google does not bring you to the building or to the entrance. Go a bit further down the hill. The entrance is the first entrance on the right as you come around the road to the building - it's a ONE WAY! Google is bringing you to the exit & IT'S ONE WAY - THE WRONG WAY!”
“Our Beacon postal workers are like family. With zero exceptions I have always been taken care of promptly, efficiently, cheerfully and with the extra bonus that I get to interact with people who know me. The service has always been outstanding. The building itself is very beautiful. While waiting in line I never cease to be fascinated by the exquisite WPA era pastel murals that grace the interior. Our Beacon post office is one of of our town's jewels. We are fortunate to have such a wonderful postal service.”
