Update 12 July 2024:
Too late, AT&T!!! You convinced me to stick with Verizon, but at a reduced price through Spectrum my Internet provider. That's the way it is. You lose out - PERMANENTLY - when you say you are open for business but you are not in any way open for business. We customers don't wait for you. We have a lot of options.
Hard to believe anyone in business does not know something so elementary, and known for centuries if not millenia. Same ole AT&T. You just do not work for it. You think you are just entitled to it all. Well, you ain't!!!!!

I went into the store today to figure out why my bill was so high. I had my account pulled up on my phone to make sure I was able to articulate exactly what I wanted changed. He told me what was on my account page and what I was told at my local store in VT were lies. When I informed him that I needed to lower my bill because it was $240 a month with only 2 lines he told me he fixed some things. When I got home, I had new charges that were not there before, so I called customer service. The excellent customer service rep told me that the guy actually charged me to change what little he did actually change. The customer service rep told me to never go into an AT&T store because all they care about is making money. The customer service rep got me almost $300 in credits and got my bill lowered to $180. The man I dealt with at the AT&T store in Plattsburgh was a complete scam artist who genuinely did not give a damn about me or my concerns. Consumers, if you need help, call the customer service number, don't go to a store...they just rip you off.

Not a fan of this location at all. First visit I went in while here in town to trade/upgrade my phone. There were 2 employees in the store. 1 (which I believe was a manager) was helping customers while the other was on the phone with some sort of customer service from what I gathered. After his phone call he went on the laptop. Apparently looking for potential hires for the store. Meanwhile I've now waited 20 minutes at least with nobody offering help. After about 30 minutes the one man gets off the phone and laptop and asks what I need. I explain I want to upgrade and I tell him what phone I want. He goes to the back, grabs a phone (didn't bother to ask me which version of the particular phone I wanted) and came out and handed it to me and said the other guy will help me soon. Eventually the other man does offer help and rushes me through upgrading, helps me enough to charge me for the taxes on the new phone and tell me I can complete the transfer on my own (From old to new) and sends me on my way. I live over an hour away. ?
2nd visit......the man working explains nothing. Runs through the process on the tablet. Prints an agreement/receipt and sends me on my way. I was in a bit of a hurry this time so I didn't mind the quick service. After leaving I looked at the receipt to see I got a whole $47.50 credit for a Galaxy S21 5G 128gb phone! No cracks. No major scratches. Phone is in pretty damn good shape. But then I notice where it asks "device functioning properly, free of chips, cracks, heat damage etc...." (which it is) the guy put NO!!!!! THANKS FOR RIPPING ME OFF AT&T!!!
I should have just sold the phone. Coulda got at least $200! Gonna pay off any plans I currently have and drop y'all at this point.

I went in to help my technically-challenged father upgrade his phone from 1982. The man working there, John O. (according to our receipt) was exceptional. Someone called out of work, so he was alone at the store with no fewer than 5-6 people there, none of whom had a quick purchase/request. He managed to multi-task, make everyone feel welcome and attended to, and answered questions calmly and kindly for several elderly customers in a humble way that created connection rather than making them feel incompetent. He had the patience of a saint with everyone, including my one year old. I never take time to write a review, but I hope someone reads this, because this man deserves a bonus! And as someone who does corporate training , he’d be a great peer trainer or customer service trainer!
