This place is horrible they charged me for smoking when they didn’t even clean the car before i received it there were already smoking materials in the car never again. smoking fee is $450 and they charged me nearly $600

Chris couldn't have been more helpful today when we had to exchange our rental car because of an electrical fault. He dealt with our problem swiftly and was so pleasant and friendly. The staff here are excellent. They are kind, helpful, and very reasonable. I had uncertainty around when I would be able to return the vehicle and the staff was very accommodating and had great communication. This interaction has started Avis brand loyalty for me, I will be a repeat customer.

Thank you, Tricia for providing excellent customer service at the airport today, Thursday, June 15, 2023. I needed to exchange my vehicle due to possible safety issues. She was very understanding and walked with me to a new rental and did all the paperwork. I felt appreciated as a customer and confident that Budget and Tricia were looking out for me!

I recently rented a vehicle from Avis Rental location was Plattsburg international airport.I was very pleased with my experience at this location. Rental agent Tricia waited on me and was thoroughly professional and very personable. What a breath of fresh air. I was impressed. It is absolutely wonderful to receive this kind of attention and service in the present business climate. Obviously I had a choice when making my selection for a rental car, talking on the phone to Tricia was the deciding factor for me going with Plattsburg. I have worked in customer service in the past, and excellent customer service definitely is the to happy customers. Happy customers should be the goal of every business, of course. But some businesses seem to have forgotten this. I commend and praise Agent Tricia for her sincere attention to my needs at the time and her impeccable customer service. More companies need to have reps like her. I will always rent Avis in Plattsburg Thanks so much!

This is the first time in my life I ever game a bad review ..I will never go with Avis again I booked Avis through priceline bwck in 2021 Sept my charge was 439.00 dollars I live in plattsburgh somehow avis charged me for a car at the same approximate time from plattsburgh ny to Florida and charged my card $1796 13 ..... for some bogus trip ...I cannot believe it i pay all my credit card bills and I never noticed till now because I was reviewing my taxes and credit cards. Unbelievable how dirty I suggest no one use this company I did contact Avis and my credit card however my statement Cleary says Avis Plattsburgh so I am doing my duty and notifying the public that Avis Plattsburgh is completely unethical.

The check-in process was very slow. It was almost impossible to find help at the airport and the number that they leave you to call for help hung up on me twice when I went to pick up my car. I was charged for an extra day when I was an hour over the return time. When I tried to request a receipt because I was billed more money, I had to fight with somebody on the phone for 45 minutes for them to send me a receipt to get reimbursed from my job. The car itself was a nice vehicle though. I had to clean the windows myself when I received it but other than that it was a nice vehicle.

Rented August 2020. Our experience with Avis in the Plattsburg Airport was laughably bad (funny if it didn’t happen to us). They were 5% cheaper than the other two onsite companies (Budget or Enterprise), but don’t be lured in! It soured us on Avis as a company. (1) Despite Posted hours Of 8am to 7pm, they never answer their phone unless you look up when flights are arriving into Plattsburg and call then (they’ve apparently not heard of forwarding it to their cell phones). Instead the phone rings through to the call center, where they tell you that you have to speak To the local agent. It’s Kafka-esque, truly maddening. (2) Despite admitting they didn’t need the car back, they wouldn’t extend our rental a few days for some “internal policy” reason. They wanted us to physically drive back and return/re-rent the car. So we had to cut our vacation a few days shorter than we’d like because our rental car company wouldn’t take our money. (3) After promising us that the car’s registration was in the glovebox (a legal requirement to cross into Canada), it obviously wasn’t. So more in person time during a pandemic. And (4), the icing on the cake, the car’s back window wouldn’t roll back up after going down (I’m sure they will try to charge us for it and it will be a big headache), but that could happen in any rental car. Just use a different company and save yourself the hassle.

Awful did not disclose that there is a 94.50 pet fee and then hung up on me when I called ..my advice use Dollar they are usually close in price and do not charge a hidden pet fee

Avis and Enterprise share the same booth. Despite a reservation with Enterprise at the Plattsburgh airport location no-one was there. The help line did not answer. Second attempt at escalations was told nothing he could do except a different location, 35 miles and a lake away and my problem to get there. Same utterly helpful rep booked me a car in town at twice the price, 4 x with the mandatory refundable one way security fee. Utterly useless, utterly worthless and left customer abandoned at an airport. Company is a joke, useless customer "service".

Had a few issues with extra charges, but AVIS was able to fix it and add the money back to my account. Would be 5 stars if it didn't take so long. Overall great customer service.
