Three stars for the range of equipment available. This place has not seen much in the way of maintenance or deep cleaning for a while. Some machines not working, paint worn down on machines and walls and doors, missing locks and missing doors in the locker room. Feels like years of neglect. But if you aren't fussy and are just looking for heavy weights to push around, you'll be all set. As long as you don't mind a little grunge.

I spent over a month going back and forth via email about trying to schedule a V02 Max test. They said they needed an extra cable to get it working, so it was delayed by another week. Later on I got a call saying it still wasn't ready. Then after talking to them on the phone for a third time they said it was "ready" so I make a trek over the ferry and took hours out of my day to do so and then I get there, the machine wasn't even setup and ready. You'd think they'd want to have it ready after months of back and forth for the customer. But then once I get going it failed and wouldn't even work. We tried a few times, but just didn't get anywhere with it. The staff said they tested it, but that doesn't matter since I would have tested it at least 3 times to ensure it would work for a customer. The staff were on their phones most of the time which I'm sure wasn't related, and to add the cherry on the top. I had to spend about $200 for this testing. It was a disaster.

I enjoyed my time at Eclipse Fitness. Avid gymmer while road tripping here and this was great. $10 daily fee and midsize gym. Not super new and definitely not a spa, but it feels like a real gym. I went at 8 am and was able to work out freely without a crowd. Much of the equipment is old but all functions and don't expect to see too many duplicate machines. But they have a great selection of machines you would need. The locker room is niiice. They have lockers with digital locks as well as unnecessarily large showers, which means they are PERFECT. (Maybe three times larger than normal?) A functioning sauna and steam room. It's a good gym for more serious to casual gym goers and I had a great road trip workout there.

Decent place to train, a bit pricey for a day-pass, it was 10$ for 24h, now it’s 10$/visit. Place and machines are dated…some equipment have been broken for a while. Definitely worth a visit for avid gym-goers. Probably the best equipped in the area.

I have been a member for years and after Covid this facility has gone downhill since then. The gym is always dirty and so is the locker rooms. They take more pride in their classes than actually maintaining the gym. There is never enough room to complete the workouts and since it’s become a high school locker room for all the younger ones to hang out on equipment and talk rather then actually using it for a workout. Also my child has always used the locker rooms and to shower and change with some privacy when using the Champys pool. Today I was denied access and told I would need to either use the ones inside the pool or walk around outside mind you she has a wet head to the eclipse entrance if I wanted privacy for her to properly shower and change. They smirked at me and found it funny because I was obviously upset how I was being treated and gross facility. I was being told this when I could walk through the door I always use to be at the locker rooms. AND not only that eclipse has messed up my billing this year and due to their error stopped me multiple times from going into the gym saying I had a balance due when I been changed monthly on my card. I’m disgusted with what eclipse has become.

This gym is... good....ish. It's probably the best one in the area. It's part of a complex with a hotel, restaurants, and an arcade. It's very cramped in there. All of the equipment is jam packed in. I don't think there's room for 1 more piece of equipment anywhere. I have been there 3 times now and 2 of those times no one was at the front desk. After waiting for over 10 minutes I just left. I had to go there 3 times before I could get signed up by someone. They seem to offer some great stuff that I will be checking out. A smoothie bar, which I look forward to trying; a few fitness classes, coaching. VO2 max, RMR testing, and body fat analysis with an Inbody machine. I went to one spin class so far and I was not impressed at all. I was obviously new there, but there was no introduction or instructions. It was just, "Go". I had never used those bikes before, and things like "first position", "second position", "third position" meant nothing to me. I just looked at everyone else to see what to do. It seems like everyone likes the instructor, so I'll give him time before I form an opinion, but to me, he seemed more like a member that stepped in for an absent instructor. Nothing about him screamed, 'I'm a professional fitness instructor'. I will go for a month and check out the other classes as well as use the equipment. I'm more interested in the classes since I have a gym at home now. I gave 4 stars instead of 3 because it is the best gym I've been to in the area so far with all that it offers, but compared to other gyms I've been to throughout the years it's average.

Here for work in Plattsburgh and this gym is connected to comfort inn suites, so you get to workout here if you are a guest. It's huge with three floors of equipment. Fitness classes, spin classes which are so lit. Lots of young fit people working out will definitely keep you motivated. I gave four stars only because I would just like it a lil bit cleaner. But excellent gym for a small town.

Not a bad gym for the area, but it could certainly use a deep-clean to address the dust build up on machines that haven't been used since pre-pani, corners of the gym that are grimy, and worn outdoor-indoor yoga mats. They no longer require masks for vaccinated folks and do not validate if you are or not so I won't be renewing my trial membership due to the associated risks and lack of responsibility! The front desk staff were my fav part about this gym and I also tried a few of the classes as well which were unique.

Eclipse is the best gym within at least 300 miles of Plattsburgh, NY. No questions asked.

Very kind and polite staff. Memberships are priced the way they should be, not expensive at all. Excellent assistance and machines as well as plenty of space, not to mention the fact that there are 3 different rooms!! I urge everyone seeing this review to sign up for a membership today! You will not regret it

Best gym in Plattsburgh, but its honestly starting to show some signs of neglect. A coat of paint would do wonders here.
