My experience with European Autohaus was extremely disappointing and frustrating. First and foremost, they charged me a whopping $388 just for a diagnostic check on my engine. The result? They could only vaguely conclude that "something is wrong with the engine." Well, I already knew that, which is why I brought it to them in the first place! For nearly $400, I expected a detailed diagnosis and a clear explanation of the issue, not a vague statement.
To make matters worse, they attempted to tack on storage fees without any prior agreement or even notifying me beforehand. This blatant attempt to extract more money from me without transparency or consent is completely unacceptable.
They seem more interested in squeezing every penny out of their customers than actually providing quality service. This kind of money-hungry behavior is completely unacceptable and shows a total disregard for customer satisfaction.
Overall, I found European Autohaus to be unprofessional, overpriced, and lacking in basic customer service ethics. Charging exorbitant fees for inconclusive diagnostics and attempting to sneak in additional charges only added insult to injury. I will definitely not be returning, and I cannot recommend this place to anyone looking for reliable and honest car service. There are plenty of other places that offer fairer pricing and better transparency.
Reporting to the Better Business Bureau and consumer affairs is absolutely warranted based on my experience. Their practices of charging exorbitant diagnostic fees without providing adequate service and attempting to impose undisclosed storage fees are not only unethical but also potentially misleading to other consumers.

I needed a clutch, I needed driveshaft work I needed many heat shields put back up, I needed radiator work done, I needed a coolant flush and an intake manifold on my 2019 golf R. Kent was honest with me, pricing was good, and it got done in a timely manor. I get nervous when brining my car places because it is a higher end vehicle, but when I drop it at European I am very comfortable doing so. Long story short if you have a European car go to Kent, he will take care of you and the job will be done right, after the service I’ve received here I won’t go anywhere else, 10/10 customer service, 10/10 communication, 10/10 work quality, I am very happy with the way I was treated here.

I brought my car there for some idle issues. Kent the owner diagnosed the issue promptly and had my car running like new in no time. When he gave me the invoice, I was surprised at how reasonable the repair was..... HIGHY RECOMEND!!

Don't believe the negative reviews!! These guys are great from start to finish. I just moved to the area after having my car serviced in Albany for a few years and didn't think I would have to find someone to service my car a month after moving up here from Saratoga. I have a 2014 BMW 535D and knew after reading bimmerpost that a busted clockspring was likely the issue for the driver restraint system malfunction error. Called and stopped in to assess and we chatted that the symptoms lined up to exactly that. Part was ordered, dropped off the car and it's like brand new. If you do your homework, there are no surprises and they happily educated me on how exactly the clockspring functions, so I learned a few things in the process. Why drive across the lake when you have European Autohaus in your backyard??

Always had a good experience with European auto. Great people, honest work, price is a little steep for some, but the work is always done well from my past experience which is what matters most. Kent is a good guy to work with and all of his co workers are skilled and know what they are doing. Very rare to find in upstate NY

I have the very good fortune (as the result of extensive research) to have "found" European Autohaus. Kent, the owner, is extremely honest and fair when it comes to any repair recommendations & required preventative maintenance, with regards to my Mini Cooper. My areas of expertise do not pertain to automobiles. I need to be able to rely on knowledgeable people ~ whom I trust; which I can comfortably do so, at EAh. The feeling I get when I leave the shop is utter satisfaction; knowing that the 'job' has been well done and that my safety is taken care of. I never worry that my car will breakdown or that it won't start. That feeling has tremendous valueThank you Kent for providing such a fantastic service to the community

Horrible. Was charged over $1700 on my sons car to have not one part replaced. That was 15 hours of labor and car still not fixed. Would not call us back or give any information. Never go.

The only place that would charge a customer as much as possible for no work being done at all.I guess Ken needed to make up for lost business from covid or just in general.240.00$ for an estimate,NO WORK at all, lol.Fortunately another well known and respected garage in Plattsburgh located by charter spectrum,gave a FREE estimate, and actually did a complete excellent job for a great price.
