On September 18, 2025, I was involved in a car accident and brought my vehicle to The Lacquer Shop for repairs. Approximately a week and a half later, I picked up my car. The same day I retrieved the vehicle, I notified the shop that several new issues had appeared—my traction control and emergency brake were no longer functioning, and my window coverings were bent. None of these problems existed before bringing my car in, not even immediately after the accident.
The shop allowed me to return with my vehicle the following Thursday. After waiting at least five hours, I was told that there was nothing they could do. I explained that these issues only began after they completed their repairs, but they continued to insist they were not responsible and offered no resolution.
I am filing this complaint because I believe the repairs performed were improper and directly resulted in new damage to my vehicle. Despite informing the shop promptly and giving them the opportunity to assess and correct the problems, they refused to take accountability or provide assistance.

The Lacquer Shop’s Parking Chronicles: A Comedy of Errors 🚗💅
Ah, the Lacquer Shop—a place where nails shine brighter than the owner's regard for parking etiquette. Their vehicle seems to think it’s the star of the show 🌟, sprawling across sidewalks and hogging parking spots like a kid grabbing the last slice of pizza 🍕. Meanwhile, poor Campus Corner customers are left circling the lot like seagulls eyeing a lone french fry 🕊️🍟.
Sidewalk parking? Bold move. Nothing says “community spirit” quite like turning a pedestrian path into a vehicular runway 🚧🚶♀️. Safety hazard or a quirky new urban obstacle course? You be the judge. 🤔
And then there’s the unspoken parking motto: “It’s not personal; it’s lacquer”. Apparently, the rest of us mere mortals are supposed to hoof it from the next zip code while this VIP ride enjoys front-row treatment 🏆🚙.
Parking Tips for the Lacquer Shop Owner
Park Like You Care: Not just about your convenience but about customers, neighbors, and, oh yeah, laws 🚓📜.
Sidewalks Aren’t VIP Lanes: They’re for walking 🚶, not for showcasing your vehicle’s proximity-to-door skills 🏋️♀️.
Consider Sharing: This isn’t Mario Kart; there’s no prize for parking domination 🏎️💨.
At the end of the day, the Lacquer Shop may slay at nails 💅, but their parking could use a serious buff and polish 🧽✨. Here’s hoping they nail it soon!

I stopped in here back on Dec 4th to have an estimate done on my vehicle for repairs. I was greeted as soon as I walked in by Brent, and they pulled my Rogue in within mins. He then went out to look at it and see what it needed. We then went into the office and proceeded to write up my estimate and explained things as he went thru it. I then decided to schedule my repairs with him. Being so close to Christmas and him going on vacation, he wasn't able to schedule me until this month. I was supposed to bring my car last week but I was sick so I called Brent and we rescheduled for me to drop it off this coming Monday. I was more than happy with the service provided to me from Brent and his crew thus far. I will update more and add pictures once my vehicle is done, and I get it back, but as of the service this far, I am more then happy with the service provided from Brent and his crew. I highly recommend this shop for repairs.

He made my car look like brand new last year after I got in an accident. Fantastic service! The owner actually cares about his clients and does his best to do it at a fair price. You won’t be disappointed when you get your car back, that’s for sure! ?Services: Painting

bring your car to a shop that actually shows up when you look it up in Apple Maps. this is amateur hour.women beware- lots of reputable shops in the area, it is just not at all enjoyable to interact with the staff here. phone manners nonexistent and will drive you nuts. customer service alone will have you wishing you just bought a whole new car.i went into this shop upwards of 8 times within a span of 3 or so months. they will consistently not keep appointments, brushing you off one day, then the next day, and then will finally take you once they realize they've brushed you off too many times. almost every time I went in, Brent, the owner, would explain the computer estimate system to me- sometimes multiple times in one visit. i understood the system immediately, as would the average third grader. sadly, things that are easily understood to the average person take Brent a little longer to figure out. i can forgive that- but i don't appreciate being treated as if i have half a brain, especially as a young woman in a masculine space. body work is fine- but in my experience these people don't know much about cars. they took way longer than they promised (forgivable), upcharged me, and then wanted to upcharge me again when they still couldn't fix it. ended up taking my car to a better mechanic who had it fixed up in two days, for a quarter of Brent's quoted cost, all with a helpful attitude and a big smile. the mechanic who actually ended up fixing my car told me that it wasn't working because this shop put a junkyard part into my car. save yourself the trouble and bring your car someplace that respects their customers. and women.

My insurance sent me to lacquershop in September for repair work, worst business dealing of my life. Over $9,000 in damage, get my car back months later, still had many missing/damaged parts. Called my insurance and took it to the dealership.I had over $4,000 in missing/damaged parts, this shop shouldn’t even be in business, totally dishonest and will intentionally scam you. If you take your car here, they will screw you, if I could give zero stars I would, there is nothing positive about them at all.Service: Body & Trim

They attempted to charge me for $600 worth of work that they didn’t do. Seems like this business will definitely try to take advantage if they know they can get away with it, problem is they just didn’t with me. Take your business elsewhere. Not impressed at all.Services: Painting

The owner is a complete wack off and likes to abuse customer vehicles and disrespect the owner upon finding out that their vehicle has been taken for an abusive “joy ride”. Do NOT bring your car to this crack shack.
