“I love this store for its affordability but I was not so happy when I road my bike 10miles to find out cat food is not $1.50 The dollar tree store is not $1 no .ore they have prices increased all the way up to $20 or more. This should not be labled Dollar Tree for the buisness anymore if its just going to be the same as Family Dollar, Dollar General, 5 bellow false advertising too. 5 bellow is not only $5 or less.”
“I love this dollar general and it's employees. I was in last week and have to say I really appreciate the store managers attitude while training new employees. A young lady working the register I believe her name Lexis, maybe Alexis who explained she was training and it was only her 2nd day on the register had to deal with an awful, awful customer who was accusing her of trying to scam him. He wanted items removed from his order and she let him know she was calling the manager so the manager could authorize the removal of the items, she told him the wrong total which was obviously a mistake (with that man's attitude I'd have given the wrong total also) and he went on a tangent that she was scamming him and everyone in line. The store manager came up and explained the situation to the customer and explained to Lexis where she made the mistake. The store manager was very kind in showing and explaining her mistake. She didn't embarrass her or make her seem like a bother. The customer finally left, thank goodness!! What a miserable person that man was. Lexis handled the situation very well for a new employee being yelled at over an honest mistake, she was visibly upset and excused herself to the restroom, she came back with an apology and a smile.. She is doing a great job!! Working retail with the general public is NOT an easy job but these 2 ladies handled it perfect!! Kudos to lexis and the manager, I 'm sorry I can't remember her name.”
“Great go-to store for general items at a realistic price. I have bought basic household items such as drinking glasses, silverware, laundry baskets, laundry detergent, etc. Grabbing a 2 pack of twinkies and a soda while in line is also a perk since we do not keep sweets in the house.”
“Its alright workers are extremely nice just wish it was more organized and less messy other wise it would be amazing but you can barley find anything due to how messy it is, and I dont blame the staff mostly the people who dont put stuff back where they found it, move stuff around but not putting it back, or parents who let their young kids run free around the store opening things or putting things other places. wish customers were nicer in Dollar stores”
“The new manger Darnell has completely turned this store around no more Boxes blocking your path the store is stocked and shipment is always being processed the store is clean and organize friendly staff always asking if theirs anything they can help with … with 20yrs in retail customer service I can definitely say Darnell has absolutely done a amazing job your hard work hasn’t gone unnoticed !”

“I shop at the store multiple times a week. Again, they have soup To nuts. Extremely happy with the prices for what they have to offer, which is basically everything. Bathroom and kitchen rugs, throw rugs. Food, etc. I am so happy they built one less than a mile from my home. I am there all the time.”
“This is my favorite dollar store by far. Their selection of merchandise is getting better and better every year. Shop at this location all the time. No complaints. Management is on top of things. Then I always eat at the Pizza place next door when I'm finished shopping. Thanks.”
“It's close to my home and easy to get a handicapped space. They have a candy called Red Fish I like and decent pricing on most products. Store is a little cluttered and that makes it harder to walk the aisle's but all in all worth a trip-staff are very friendly and know where the "stuff" is located.”
“Love this store. Nothing fancy and sometimes many cartons with stuff to put away, I just go down another isle. Little of everything you need and sometimes things you didn't know you needed. Curtains,sheets,rugs,utensils etc. the girls up front very friendly too.”
“I love Dollar General on main Street in Poughkeepsie. Tara and Gerald keep the store running . They try as hard as they can to make sure those products hit the shelves . I'm always greeted with a smile and I love my people there. So many great finds. Also it's one stop shopping and you can also get gifts as well.”

“This store absolutely deserves a full five stars, and that’s largely because of the incredible team—especially Amy, Patrick, and Debbie. Every single time I visit, they go out of their way to make the experience smooth, friendly, and genuinely enjoyable. It’s rare these days to walk into a store and instantly feel welcomed, but that’s exactly what happens here thanks to them. Their customer service is outstanding: warm, helpful, and always focused on making sure people get what they need.
One of the biggest things that makes this location stand out is how fully stocked it always is. Shelves are neat, organized, and never look picked over. No matter what I’m looking for—whether it’s everyday essentials, seasonal items, or the things other stores constantly run out of—this place consistently has it. You can tell Amy, Patrick, and Debbie take pride in keeping everything fully stocked and ready for the next customer. It makes shopping so much easier, and honestly, it keeps me coming back.
I’ve been to many stores where you feel like you’re hunting down items or waiting for someone to restock, but not here. This team stays on top of everything. You can see the effort and professionalism in every aisle. The store is clean, organized, and truly well-managed.
