I've been here twice. The man who owns/runs the store is not the best at customer service. I don't know a lot about wine and liquor, but I do know a bit about the stuff I like to drink. First time I came here, the owner asked what I was looking for and then proceeded to act like I had no idea what I was looking for and spoke down to me. The second time I stopped by, the same man was working. When I asked him if he had a particular bottle I was looking for, he said "no" and gave me a look as if to say "get out of here." I won't be going back and I'll advise my friends to go somewhere else as well.

Well let's disect the fact that Owner Graeme is an completely impersonable man -bordering on totaly unpleasant. He is a TERSE individual that would not smile if his life depended on it. Never the less, its a nice shop and good selection. Mainly shop out of of convenience sakes. You can easily go down the road to see Mr. Theirry Pralines in Thornowood for proper service and smiles and knowledge of wine and proper customer service. There is at Art f Wine a lovely meek guy that works here that is probably under the Owners oppressive thumb. Fact of the matter is that the owner is a rude man unpleasant and surly and non appreciative for loyalty of customers that have been coming here for years regardless of him. If you have other options, i suggest taking them because he is actually a d%^k.

Fantastic curated selection of unusual & hard to find wines, particularly Rieslings - some unusual distillates. Also has run of the mill wines and liquor. I enjoy the owner's foxhole/gallows, semi-dour sense of humor.

This has been a family-run business and exemplary of the type of old-time, personable commerce and hospitality Pleasantville has enjoyed for years, despite the fact that this unique type of business model has been slowly disappearing over the years. Owner Graeme and his colleague Terry are both extremely knowledgeable about all types of wine vintages from across the globe, as well as spirits. They offer top-notch advice on wine and liquor selections for customers based on each customer's need and taste. They have buyers from all over the planet, offer tastings, and their product offerings are very fairly priced.

Nice local shop with polite folks behind the counter. The gent who's usually there helped me find a nice rye at a reasonable price. They have some good prices on certain bottles of scotch if you know what you're looking for. Nice place.

Purposely drove here instead of going to a big box store to support a local business. I bought a handle of Tito's and as I walked out I was trying to clean my hands with hand sanitizer. The bottle dropped out of my hands and broke. This was completely my fault, I'll admit. I went back inside with the broken bottle, explained what happened and asked if there was any way they could extend me a small discount on another bottle. The guy,Who I think is the owner, looked at me, put his hands up and said sorry no can do. I get times are tough but it goes both ways. I shop here instead of saving money at a wholesaler. I am a regular customer here on purpose, to support them. I know he didn't recognize me with my mask but it shouldn't make a difference. A 10% discount would have cost him $3. It's the principle of it all and now I will be going elsewhere from now on.

Have been here a few times and never had a bad experience until tonight. I'm 21 almost 22, presented my ID without being asked. It's a Federal Real ID from New Jersey which apparently failed their ID check. The man working was incredibly rude. I wasn't going to argue with him over the validity of my license. I understand they need to be careful for fake ids, it was as real as it can get and they have lost my future business.
