This salon couldn’t be better! So lucky to have found it after moving to Westchester a few months ago. Josef is lovely and spent time talking with me to understand my current hair frustrations. Absolutely loved the cut and styling and will be back soon for color. 5+ stars, highly recommend!!!

This salon is a *gem* Josef and Brandi are very talented and very accommodating. My hair is so annoying to color and they were so patient and generous with their time and skills to ensure I was happy. They are thorough and talented and overall lovely people. Highly recommend

I’ve been a loyal client at this salon for years, and after how I was treated recently, I’ll never be coming back. There was a fraudulent charge on my account—something completely out of my control—and the moment it affected their payment, the respect and professionalism disappeared instantly.
Instead of handling it like a business that values its long-time clients, I was met with arrogance, disrespect, and zero accountability. I provided proof from my bank that the funds were returned with a confirmation number, and still I was treated as if I did something wrong.
You don’t treat people like that—especially not clients who’ve supported your business for years. Absolutely unacceptable. If this is how they handle problems, especially ones that aren’t even your fault, save yourself the headache and go somewhere else.
Shameful customer service.

After receiving a disappointing coloring, I researched different hair salons in Westchester and came across Josef Mikel Salon of Pleasantville, which had numerous positive reviews. Joe certainly lived up to the hype - he was incredibly attentive and did an excellent job.

I was recommended this salon from a few of my coworkers, and they did NOT disappoint! Josef and the staff were all so friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. My hair dresser was Mallory, and she took a lot of time asking me EXACTLY what I wanted before she began cutting my hair, which is not very common! While I was at the salon, multiple staff members asked me if I needed anything, such as water. Mallory made sure to explain and show me what she was doing during each step (cutting, blow drying, etc.). Her demeanor was amazing, and she is SO talented. She gave me the most beautiful blowout, and made me feel like the most elevated version of myself. I got stopped on the street by strangers to tell me they loved my hair. Go to this salon, you will be so glad you did!!! The cleanest and most professional salon I have ever been to in my life!

Was introduced to Gina for a complementary assessment for Extensions. And when I found out that I was not a good candidate for them, I took a look at my rather unkempt hair and asked if she could cut it. Gina did an amazing job, cutting it and blowing it straight, she is my absolute new hairstylist !!!! Luv you!!!!

I have been going to Josef Mikel Salon for 2 years and I have nothing but great things to say. I walk out loving my hair every time more and more. Joe and his staff have a great environment and all of them make every visit relaxing and enjoyable!

I drove from the Hudson Valley area to get my hair done by Josef Mikel himself. Immediately when I came into the salon, I was greeted kindly by Kelly who did an exceptional job at helping me find the right appointment date. As I sat down for my service J was Welcomed by the ladies that were also working in the salon. Dita greeted me and asked if I would like any coffee/ tea or water. The first thought that stuck out to me was hospitality. Going to a hair salon for the first time, I felt nothing but welcomed and embraced by the owner and the staff. Throughout the duration of my hair appointment, I noticed the environment was welcoming and friendly, which I personally can believe is difficult to cultivate such an environment in the realm of the beauty industry. Josef Mikel did an amazing job on my hair, as well bring my blonde back to life. Every product used on my hair smelt like a touch of heaven. I felt confident and healthy again in my own skin. I could not recommend this salon more. The owner himself has cultivated a beautiful environment in which customers feel seen, and walk out the door feeling more confident than ever!!! Thank you Josef for bringing my blonde back to life and for creating an aroma of hospitality with your amazing staff. It was a great experience.

Joe and Gina are two if the kindest people I ever have met . They have skills, the ability to listen , and empathy . They understand people and they rock at hair .I came to Gina after receiving the worst haircut of my life . Gina didn’t scold or belittle me! She simply set in motion a plan to give me the best look with no further heartache .Thank you !!!
