“I went to the store today and absolutely loved it. The lady behind the counter was super nice. Also i found my favorite wine and it was cheaper than in other places. I am coming back for more wine!!!”
“Store is extremely well stocked and very located in uptown Kingston at an easy to access location from the Thruway traffic circle. For an uptown location, it has its own easy and free parking. In particular, the owner and/or manager is extremely personable and goes above and beyond what I would expect to welcome each customer and help them find anything they might need.”
“This is a long awaited review but my experience w Kingston wine co was AMAZING. They recently introduced private tastings and we had the most lovely time with Sam during our tasting. She was super informative about the wines we were trying regions, backstories, etc and printed us out cute tasting cards to take notes on. She asked beforehand what kind of wines we like and did not disappoint. We had so much fun and would totally reccomend coming here for a private tasting with your friends, partners or coworkers - it’s pretty affordable considering private tastings in nyc are outrageously expensive. We did the food pairing in conjunction with the tasting and they do their parings with fletcher and Lu nextdoor. The food was soooo yummy! I wish I lived closer they have such good wines from producers I really like. Hoping to come back when I come back to Kingston!”
“A gem of a wine & spirits store, run by a gem of a human, Emma. Eclectic, thoughtful selection of wines and spirits. Unpretentious and welcoming staff who are always ready to steer you towards a discovery bottle or help you find your go-to wine.”
“Stopped in seeking rum from Barbados and I have to say that the staff at JK’s is incredible! They are so helpful and so nice and because of their amazing service, I will go out of my way to buy from them ?. I believe from my receipt I was helped by MN — thank you.”
“This is a gem of a wine shop in a small town. Kevin and Jose’s knowledge of wine is wonderful.
Go in,tell them about your tastes in wine and price point and they will pick out some outstanding wines for you. I have been in the business 30+ years and this is where I go for fine wines.”
“Very clean and well-organized store. Prices are fair and the selection is surprisingly diverse. I found a few rare bottles I haven’t seen elsewhere.
Always a pleasure shopping here! The staff is super friendly and helpful with recommendations. They’ve got a great selection of wine, spirits, and craft beer. My go-to liquor store in the area.”

“Really friendly staff, can't complain about anything really. Prices might be a bit higher than bigger stores but they're also more conveniently located and the people are nicer so it's a trade I'm happy to make.”
“The selection of wine and spirits is unparalleled in Kingston. I knew I really liked this place when I met the owner, Robert. He and his staff are fantastic. Kingston is lucky to have a shop like this!”
“Prices are great and usually much less than others nearby for the same sizes. Staff is always very helpful but not intrusive. They don't hover, which I appreciate.”
“They have a great selection of wine and liquor and are always expanding. The team is so friendly and willing to make sure you find exactly what you are looking for. If you are looking for something special, just ask and they will order it for you. Don't settle for anyplace else. Support your local shops!”
“Unfiltered is my favorite wine shop of anywhere, ever. Maureen and the staff exude a combination of warmth, humor, and professionalism that make stopping by the shop a special little treat. I've learned a ton from the staff about wine/my preferences, and they share information without the tiniest bit of pretense. I also find their pricing structure makes quality bevs available across the cost spectrum, and that really stands out from other curated shops that limit or exclude lower price points all together. I just love a local business that is thoughtful and accessible in addition to knowing their stuff. Keep it up, queens!
Love, Beanhead”
“This is a great store. They have something for everyone. The staff is amazing. Friendly, knowledgeable and fun. Like a Liquor store should be. They also have a great selection of wine. It's in a great location. Their motto should be ''All Roads Lead Here''. Because literally they do.”
“My wife and I love this Wine and Liquor store. The owner Jackie is friendly and very helpful when it comes to helping her customers find what they are looking for. That's why we gave her a 5 star rating. (5 wine glass rating!).”
“This is a family owned business who are so incredibly kind. They always ask how I am and go above and beyond to find me the wine I am looking for. There are many of wine store options but this place is the best place around!”
“Such a convenient place to grab a bottle on the way home or when stocking up...The owners are super friendly and are passionate that your choice of wine or liquor is available! Make sure you go when they are hosting wine tastings”
“Best quality wine and spirits in the Hudson Valley. Excellent selection, wine on offer is globally sourced, and has the best selection of the highest quality spirits. Prices very reasonable ; owner and staff are very helpful. Give great wine recommendations. Can’t go wrong at this hidden gem as it’s not in the main village square if Red Hook but about 4 clicks north on Route 9. Easy parking too.”
“Great selection and reasonable prices. Good for those wanting a decent inexpensive bottle of liquor or wine while a conversation with the owner will give you a world of options for something a little more exotic.”

“Very beery impressed. Figured I was walking into a Bud Bud and more Bud place, hoping I wasn’t. A fantastic selection of craft, especially local. If your stays bring you to Red Hook and you want your fridge full of good beer, stop by.”

“I traveled to Rhinebeck for the day and decided to go shopping in the village. I stopped in to Rhinebeck Wine & Liquor to see what the store had to offer and I was extremely satisfied with my experience. The inside was decorative and visually sensual. The workers were pleasant and knowledgeable in everything wine - they had an answer for every question I asked to help me pick the perfect bottle! If I ever find myself in this town again I will positively be stopping by again. Highly, highly reccomend.”
“Staff here are delightful, very helpful, and the selection is varied and fantastic. If you need something, either they've got it here OR they'll tell you where you can get it nearby.”
“We asked for help as to what wine would go good with pizza(Ichore) also, what with be a good dinner wine (Martinelli) the gentleman helping us was very helpful in choosing the right one ! The cashier was knowledgeable on Crown Royal, which will be our next purchase”

“This is an excellent wine and liquor store with very good selection and helpful staff. It is real expensive though. Better on wine than in liquor. If you like scotch and bourbon, other whiskey, etc, you'll find a lot to choose from but you'll pay for it.”
“If you are shopping for wine, THIS is the best shop in the area. The owner is a very knowledgeable wine connoisseur, whose expertise can help you select the perfect bottle. When the owner is not present, an elegant young man runs the store with an extensive amount of knowledge of wines, well versed on the regions & types of grapes, who can spurt off a quick summary of each wine, and help you choose something perfectly specific to what you like. I have gone into this shop, and wirh very little info from me about what I'm lokking for, both individuals helped me to select wines that became my favorites. Both assist shoppers with a friendly, easy going tone, while being so thoroughly educated , that it makes picking up a bottle, a nice, no pressure, easy experience. They have excellent excellent wines that are low price point, along with mid price point, as well as some of the finest most high end wines. Currently I'm enjoying an affordable bottle of cotes du Rhone that I never would have chosen without the help of the gentlemen working at the store. In addition to wines, the store has all the spirits you may need , minus the gross , hangover inducing, and college party worthy liquors that would ruin the classy aesthetic of this wonderful shop.Basically, the offerings of this store fit w the vibe that the interior and the owner have created, a CURATED selection of what you want to be drinking this evening, or bringing to your next dinner w friends.I noticed there where a couple bad reviews, one was prices high- no not true, they have some amazing wines for around $10-$14. They also have the regular liquors at their regular prices. No they don't sell low end barefoot $6 bottles of wine. But ew gross that Would ruin the integrity of the shop.Second they mentioned bad customer service and this couldn't be more wrong. As many positive reviews state, customer service is exactly why the local clientele keep coming back. These reviews of poor customer service e were prob just salty or offended after they came in asking for big box brand cheesy wines like "sutter home" or gross liquors like Jim beam.maybe these people felt out of place when the owner couldn't help them find "yellowtail".When I step in this store, I'm not stepping into some generic big box liquour store and wanting to grab and go because the store & experience of wine/alcoholic shopping feels "ick"... rather, I'm stepping into a classic asthetic of historical wooden shelving, beautiful bottles, and I feel like I could be in France, or Italy, last but not least, the owner and his gentleman staff member respect and love wine, and you want to support a privately owned business like that when you are buying wine.r”
“I love Van Loans. Great selection of beer or soda, they take your deposit bottles and credit towards your purchase. Best of all they are always super helpful answering questions or helping you carry your purchases to the car.”
