I received the sunset sail as a Christmas gift and was FINALLY able to utilize it this past weekend! It was absolutely fantastic! Ten stars!! Captain Barry and First Mate Peter are not only very gracious hosts and great sailors, they are wonderful people and lots of fun too! If I were to order the perfect sailing weather and conditions, that is what I would order. Winds were 10-15 knots with gusts over 20 knots. It doesn't get any better than that! The sunset was beautiful. The Catalina 30 is a gorgeous sailboat and lots of fun to sail. We had such a wonderful time. It was a perfect day! My profound thanks and appreciation to Barry and Peter for such a fantastic experience. We will be back!! (Yes, Captain Barry, that is a threat! 😆😆). I highly recommend Sail Adirondacks, LLC to anyone from novice to experienced sailor.

Captain Barry and 1st Mate Peter were just the right mix of fun, informative, and professional, very easy to talk to and ask questions. Though it was not an ideal sailing day, we made the most of our three hour Lake Champlain excursion, seeing the historic fort sites and going under the gorgeous Lake Champlain Bridge.
What was most impressive were both gentleman's approach with our 7 year old son; they involved him in many small but important details of the sail, including the steering. Our son bores easily -- actually so do I -- but we were engaged the whole time. Barry and Peter made our son feel comfortable and were firm about safety as well.
Overall a fun excursion, and value filled experience for adults and children.

Many thanks to Barry and Peter! One of the best sailing excursions I’ve experienced! Barry and Peter made it fun and enabled us to all play an active part in the experience. It’s a beautiful, fully equipped, comfortable boat that is well maintained and well suited for Lake Champlain! Heartily recommend!

My bachelorette sunset sail was amazing and all my bridesmaids absolutely loved it. Captain Barry and First Mate Peter were wonderful and made sure we had an unforgettable experience. If you’re on the fence about booking, DO IT!

I recently had an exhilarating experience sailing with Sail ADK’s commander Captain Barry and his first mate Peter. After a thorough safety briefing, the “Gi Bro Too,” a 1986 Catalina 30, departed from it’s Port Henry location on Lake Champlain. Barry and Peter proved to be very experienced, knowledgeable and friendly sailors. During the 3 hour excursion, they gave us several opportunities to take the helm and man the lines providing one on one instruction with sailing skills. I would highly recommend SAIL ADK to anyone interested in learning to sail or just looking for a relaxing day on Lake Champlain. I am looking forward to sailing with them at their Saranac Lake location!

We had an unforgettable experience sailing with Sail Adirondacks! Captain Barry and his first mate Peter truly made our day. Their warm welcome, great sense of humor, and passion for sailing created an amazing atmosphere from the start.
Not only did we enjoy a relaxing and scenic sail, but we also had the chance to learn how to steer the sailboat ourselves — such a fun and hands-on experience! Captain Barry and Peter were excellent teachers, making everything easy and enjoyable.
We were also celebrating our friend’s birthday that day, and they went above and beyond to make it special with thoughtful little gifts and a cheerful congratulations. It was such a sweet surprise and made the day even more memorable.
Highly recommend this adventure to anyone visiting the Adirondacks — whether you're looking to relax, learn something new, or just have a great time on the water with wonderful people!

Last week we sailed on the Sail Adirondack Lake Champlain sunset cruise. Wonderful! All the factors were there in the formula for a lovely evening. Barry and Rose hosted us as Capt. and crew, their relaxed confident composure brought us comfort while getting geared up, boarding, and sailing the lower part of Lake Champlain. The correct mix of history, sightseeing, and local discussions, made for a nice evening. We took a break from sailing to enjoy our drinks and snacks; that enabled us take in the beautiful sunset. We were back at the dock just as it was getting dark. I recommend an outing on the GIBRO TWO Catalina 30 with Sail Adirondacks. The equipment and hosts completed our equation for a fun and enjoyable excursion.

My wife and I took a lesson with Capt. Barry and his first mate Peter to expand on our beginner's knowledge of sailing. The lesson was an A plus starting with Capt. Barry’s comprehensive introduction to the boat through to the on the water teaching of sailing technique. Capt. Barry, along with his first Mate, were detailed, patient and at times humorous in their teaching methodology. The boat is a beautiful Catalina 30 which with its finesse provided teaching moments which complemented the human instruction. We are looking forward to our next lesson.

I can't speak highly enough of Captain Barry and Pete! We took out a group of my high school students and it was one of the most memorable trips of my career. The kids learned to read maps, tie knots, and they sailed the boat! We had a blast and learned so much! This meant a lot to my students and we couldn't have gotten a nicer crew than Barry and Pete! I highly recommend Sail Adirondacks!
