Had my dog washed there. Picked him up 3 hous later. Took them 20 mins ti bring him out and when they did his tail was tucked snd he wa scratching to leave very unusual for him. Watched him all night his behavior extremely different. Didn't eat or drink that nt or the next day. While petting him I noticed his whole neck was swollen. He was coughing so took him too vet as soon as possible. Vet said he has trachea damage most likely from being yanked or pulled while wearing a neck leash. And since we only use harnesses he feels it coukd only be the groomer. Pet smart denies any issue. While speaking about this at work I discovers 2 other people had similar issues one dog recovered the other passed away from a broken trachea.

This store is great! I shop for cat food, treats and supplies. They usually have a fairly large selection of brands. The store is clean and the employees are pleasant & helpful. I cannot comment on the grooming- that’s the only reason I didn’t give 5 stars.

Very happy with the grooming today. Julia did a great job on my boy Ozzy. He looks awesome. She really listened to my requests. Booking was super easy and the whole process really easy. Definitely going back.

I’m deeply disappointed and saddened by my recent visit to this pet store. Upon entering the aquatic section, I noticed two deceased fish — a betta in a cup and a goldfish in a tank — that looked like they had been dead for days, not hours. I searched for staff on the floor but couldn’t find anyone. When I finally asked the cashier for help, she was noticeably unfriendly and dismissive.
Eventually, a manager arrived, and I pointed out the dead fish. Her response was that they perform a “dead fish sweep” every night. If that’s true, there’s no excuse for the obvious neglect — these fish had clearly been there for much longer than 24 hours. Another staff member, who claimed to be a “fish expert,” was shockingly unbothered and admitted she was responsible for the tanks, yet showed no concern or sense of accountability.
To make matters worse, an adjacent tank housed another dead fish floating at the top, and several others with visible signs of fin rot. It was heartbreaking to witness such a blatant lack of care for living creatures. The health and well-being of these animals should be a priority — and from what I saw, it clearly isn’t.
I hope this review prompts management to take action and implement better oversight, staff training, and more compassionate care practices for their animals.

Terrible customer service. I went to pick my dog up and they were matted. The nails weren’t even touched. The employees were so rude and gave me an attitude. Then I walk outside and a poor employee is sitting on the bench crying her eyes out. Do not take your pets here they don’t treat pets, customers, or employees properly at this location. I just get a bad vibe there.

My recent experience at PetSmart left much to be desired. I initially spoke with someone over the phone to schedule an appointment for my long-haired cat, explaining in detail the specific grooming needs due to matting under her legs and on various parts of her body. Upon arrival, I was unexpectedly asked for vaccination paperwork, which I hadn't brought because it wasn't communicated as a requirement during booking.
After rescheduling and returning, the groomer (Julia) immediately expressed doubt about their ability to handle the matting, without even examining my cat. This was frustrating because I had clearly outlined the grooming requirements during the phone call. It would have been more professional if they had mentioned their limitations during the initial conversation.
The grooming area itself was disorganized and unkempt, which was concerning given the nature of their work. I overheard groomers making unprofessional remarks about other clients (“your owner forgot what a brush looks like”), which didn't instill confidence in their professionalism. Additionally, the receptionist who checked me in lacked friendliness and warmth.
Overall, the lack of clear communication about vaccination requirements, the premature dismissal of my cat's grooming needs, the unprofessional behavior among staff, and the overall cleanliness of the establishment leave me hesitant to consider them for any of our future grooming needs. For pet owners seeking reliable and respectful service, I would suggest looking elsewhere.

It waa my 1st time in that Pet Smart & The customer I asked for help to locate what i was looking for were more friendly and helpful than the staff that I had to track down and call to twice brfore I got him to finally help me.

I made an appointment here to have my long haired cat groomed. The appointment was several weeks away. The day we arrived we were told the cat groomer wasn’t in that day. No one called us to cancel the appointment. It’s not easy to get our cat in the carrier and out of the house. She’s very timid since she is a rescue animal. The people at the store placated us by giving us another appointment the following day at 2pm. Needless to say we called before we went and were told that the groomer no longer grooms cats. Again we received no phone call. If we hadn’t called we would have been turned away once we got there. Very poor customer service. I would never recommend PetSmart. There was no apology and no offer to help in any way.

Never bring your cat to this groomer. They have no idea how to handle cats. My husband was called to pick up our cat early because she had scratched another person and they could not finish the job. When he got there, he was told that they accidentally cut her nipple and she was bleeding which was the reason that our cat scratched her. They said to bring her back another day so they could finish the job! We will never go back there!
