Store is beautiful and they have great stuff but their lack of customer service is a complete turn off . When I walked in and greeted the ladies behind the counter they just stared back, completely silent. After browsing for a few minutes in awkward silence I decided to turn around and leave. People will always remember how you treat them and customer service is critical for a business such as theirs. Disappointing all around.

The clothes are just amazing. The jewelry there are beautiful. The store has such a welcoming aura and an amazing smell. Although the clothes are pricey, the style of them make it up for the price. I definitely recommend.

Had a great experience Sunday shopping for my sister in law's birthday gift. Marie was a wonderful help and gave white glove service. The selection of items in store are beautifully curated and the staff are kind and welcoming.

The clothes are just amazing. The jewelry there are beautiful. The store has such a welcoming aura and an amazing smell. Although the clothes are pricey, the style of them make it up for the price. I definitely recommend.

I have been a customer as long as I can remember & it is by far my favorite shopping experience in the Village of Port Jefferson. Visiting the store is like a taking a short trip away from real life and exploring the treasures in every inch of the store. The staff are helpful, friendly and they also save me time with their complimentary gift wrapping! When I shopped there recently, I discovered that there is new ownership and frankly, Earring Tabu (now known as Tabu Boutique) has never looked BETTER!

We have had our family owned business in beautiful Port Jefferson Village since 1995. Unfortunately due to covid,we were forced to shut our office a year ago. With that said i always support small business in town and continue to shop locally. Unfortunately I just had the worst experience ever walking into Earing Tabu. I guess it is under new ownership. The new owner a brunette possibly in her 40's was extremely unprofessional,where i was just yelled at,told to get out of her store. I was there early December to buy jewelry and a night light for my graphic artist/friend. I loved the night light that i ordered 3 more as gifts. Unfortunately i became very ill with covid that when they called me on 12/13 i was sleeping and very sick. I did call them back and told the girl who answered I received her message and that i would be in when i got better. They said no problem it will be here when your all better. I went to the store 12/20 and the woman said we sold them..you never came...she was very rude and u was very upset and taking back. I said why would you sell them? I was sick with covid and told guys i would be in as as i was-able..I been coming here my whole life. She then said do you know what the nightlight look like and I was taken back even more I said I don't understand and she's like what don't you understand you don't like a question and I was like excuse me I already purchased one a few weeks ago they were glass I ordered three more and then she got confrontational with me again and I said not for nothing but I am a customer here,not sure why your yelling and being so rude to me, and she said not for nothing I am the owner, and you can get out of my store. I was like excuse me why are you telling me to get out of your store? I don't understand and why are you yelling at me she proceeded to yell at me and then called me a liar and told me that I did not call the store when I did call the store didn't even apologize for selling my 3 night lights... it was a really horrible experience this is the store that I've been going to since 1995 when my mother was still alive we've been there for all different owners and I never had such a terrible experience ever until just today when I was screamed at and told to get out of the store this is not OK this is a community that I've been shopping and working in my entire life and this needs to be addressed this is not the way you treat somebody especially when it was a life-and-death situation and I came in today to pick them up. The woman is unprofessional and does not belong in business. Your asking me what does the night lights looks like? You should of had a full description when i placed my other.She clearly was not trying to fix this and does not belong in business.You told me you left me a message on 12/13. I explained i was very sick. You clearly were not trying to fix this,and to look me in face and call me a liar? Is unprofessional. It took me a minute to gather my thoughts bc i was so sick. Again i had covid,when i woke up i called the store and told the girl i was sick w covid but would be in as soon as quarantine was over and i was well. She said no problem. I spent $100 a few weeks earlier and that was when i ordered 3 more night lights- The owner was not in that day- the sweet girl that helped me did not tell me I needed to leave a deposit she said I did not have to. I've been shopping there for a lifetime and I would've had no problem putting down a deposit she told me it wasn't necessary. The owner clearly gave me an attitude where she had no sympathy for me and basically said oh well we never saw you we left you a message on 1213 it's right here in my book so they're sold she was not nice my mother owns a jewelry gift and collectible store for many many years and I worked there and ran the store and neither of us have ever treated any customer the way this woman treated me today. What a beautiful store! This was my first time visiting, because I’m new in town, but I will definitely be back again and again. A really great atmosphere with a friendly, helpful, attentive, sweet staff. The owner and her daughter were there and they were delightful. It’s one of those places where anyone can find something. It’s clear that they love doing what they do. I can’t wait to wear my new sweater and necklace!

I’ve been buying jewelry and other things for my wife for many years at Earring Tabu and have always had a great experience but sadly, not today. There was a lot of staff when I arrived but they were all preoccupied with some kind of a photo shoot that was happening that day. The person who did help me was condescending when showing me a piece of jewelry which I was not prepared for. Not a typical experience at all- hopefully just a one time occurrence.

A lot more than earrings in this FABULOUS boutique with so much to see! "Ava" was so helpful, very friendly and patient as we looked over much of the jewelry and other items! I bought a fabulous hand crafted diachromatic glass double tier necklace for a great price, my friends also bought a top and other jewelry! We LOVE this store! It's probably the best shop we visited today, and believe me, we hit them all! Highly recommended and something for every budget! Bravo!

Beautiful stuff, obviously some of it is going to be pricey but you can find a nice pair of unique earrings for 30 or maybe even under. Why the two star rating? Well... I've been in there three times and they constantly follow you, I get it, people steal and they have a lot of expensive items and all that but they have to let the customer feel comfortable when they shop, there's a way to prevent shrink/theft without making people feel weird when they're shopping, with covid going on I really don't feel comfortable with people trailing me around the store and not respecting my space unless I personally ask them into it (as I did when I actually asked for their help), don't treat your customers like they're stealing from you when you're relying on them to keep you in business.
