I was there on Thurs, Jan 8. In the afternoon. I was just buying a few things. And the man managing the registers (a young, tall, black man. I'm describing him so he gets credit.) was such a kind, nice, courteous. guy. Just one of those people with good energy about them. I wish stores knew more how important it is for people at check out to be friendly to customers...and what a difference it makes. They don't have to be over friendly, but some people that check out, don't even acknowledge you. It's just as important as the product and price point. It's your experience at the store.

This store is usually well organized, staff always greats people when walking in. For a five below they keep things in order. They have a good stock of stuff and it’s kept in order.

I went in to buy something and the lady started pointing at me and my friends and saying stuff about us. Then as soon as we bought stuff she told us that we couldn’t be in there anymore. It’s very upset that the workers there could act like that.

The manager or owner Margret stares at people. She accuses people of stealing and is very rude!! She aggressively taps the checkout screen likes she’s in a rush. This five below is very messy also I don’t recommend!

The manage stared at me and my friends and was verbally rude on numerous occasions. I was trying to pick a ball on another occasion and an employee accused me of throwing a ball onto a shelf. This is unacceptable. She then yelled at me and my friend when I bounced the ball to him.

I was checking out my stuff and went to reach for a reusable bag to purchase since I bought a lot of items for my gift. I guess 5 seconds is too long to look for the barcode on the bag because the store associate came up to me and winked and said “make sure you scan that”. I guess he could see that I was a little upset because I was quite literally looking for the barcode to SCAN and purchase while he was insinuating I wasn’t going to buy it, so he tried to help me out during the checkout process by ripping up my receipt. I hit print on my receipt and he grabbed it and ripped it up. Why would you rip up my receipt if I hit print for a reason? The most weirdest and rude experience I’ve dealt with.

Staff member called me and my friends poor.
He said we’d find the cheap items in the back, implying that we were poor. Was he wrong? Not necessarily.
Scanned the items for us because he either appreciated our company or thought we would steal.
Very mixed signals here. I appreciate him though! Will definitely be going again. FANTASTIC DEALS!
