The food isn't good enough for what they charge, and they have roaches. Big ones and little ones crawling about. The people are nice.

I know I reviewed this place before but I HAD to make mention of their chicken noodle soup. I usually hate diner soups because they're either so salty or too bland or just taste store bought. THIS ONE tastes like your grandma made it. This is 1000% a homemade soup. It's actually so amazing I had to hop on here again.

I lament the demise of the mighty diner on Long Island. Once mighty 24 hour oasis’s that drew in patrons like sailors to sirens in tales of yesteryear. So finding this little gem in Port Washington was a happy treasure. Service was courteous and prompt. The family atmosphere was warm and inviting. Portions and prices were great. I am one that values what I get for my money. This place did not disappoint. You won’t leave hungry. My breakfast came out quick and it was piping hot. I normally don’t eat the toast but ended up eating both slices- with jelly even. I always say eat what is worth eating. Please give them a try, it’s right across from the port Washington train station. You won’t be disappointed. Check out the photos, it was even better in person

Excellent food, reasonable prices, friendly staff, clean classic diner. As I was eating, I saw all different orders going by, and each one looked better than the next. A definite repeat.

I had taken my grandson twice to Haven Diner for breakfast and the experience was excellent. Great service. Friendly atmosphere. Yesterday, we went for breakfast and the experience was terrible. Our waiter, Chris Ramires, appeared to resent having to wait on us. I spilled a glass of water, for which I profusely apologized, and we were then put in a booth way in the back, as if it were a punishment. Chris proceeded to wait on customers who arrived after us, while we sat in the back. We had ordered a cappuccino at the first table at which we were seated. Finally, Cris arrives, unsmiling, annoyed, and we order pancakes. The pancakes arrive but one of the busboys had to ask Cris if he was waiting for the cappuccino, which arrived after my grandson was done with his pancakes. It was cold and the whipped cream had melted into the coffee. Clearly, Cris decided we were unworthy of good service. When I paid, he was manning the register, and he had the audacity to ask about his tip.One rude waiter can ruin a dining experience. I called and was told he was a new employee. We will not be returning to Haven Diner.

10 out 10!!!! Hands down! You have to go to this dinner. Super delicious! Fast and friendly service. Food absolutely delicious! Ask for Sammy, amazing waiter.

I was a patron of this establishment and recently visited it on Sunday Memorial Day Weekend. Upon my arrival, I was met by an employee by the name of Alex M. On our first encounter, he was very polite and helpful in assisting us with our seating. After a few minutes of reviewing the restaurants menu, he came back and hovered over myself and my friend with a blank stare for a few seconds before asking if we were ready to order. My friend has special needs and while he was saying his order the employee started slightly giggling to himself. I asked the employee what was so funny and he started laughing harder and said "You wouldn't understand" followed by him repeating "Durr, Durr, Durr" while smacking his chest with his hand. Once my food arrived, I thoroughly enjoyed my Cheeseburger Deluxe. Perfectly cooked and seasoned, as well as the French fries. My friend ordered the Ham Omelette and He also very much enjoyed his food. However, I left the employee a $40 dollar tip because I thought the employee might be having a rough day and tried to help him out but the employee proceeded to get disgruntled and slap the table staring at my friend saying "That's all??" My friend and I got up and left afterwards. Would come again! Great experience! :^)

Reliable, fast, and delicious. Friendly folks. Cornedbeef hash is on point. The cornerstone of morning commuters and Kings of the Brunch crowd. You can never go wrong here.
