I used this storage unit for my business, and it was a complete disaster from start to finish. I previously rented from one of their locations in Connecticut, which was well-run with friendly staff always on-site. This location is the total opposite — unprofessional, unsafe, and extremely poorly managed.
They increased my rent by over $200 every three months without warning or explanation. Despite having autopay set up, I was repeatedly flagged for late payments, and no one could ever explain why. I left message after message for the property manager, and no one ever called me back. It felt like no one was actually in charge.
Worse yet, the facility itself is filthy and outdated. I got locked in the elevator, and my young son nearly got his arm caught trying to stop the door from closing while we were trying to escape. That could have ended in a serious injury — and again, no one was there to help or even seemed to care when I reported it.
There is no clear move-out process, no on-site staff, and absolutely no customer service. I cannot emphasize this enough: stay away from this place. It’s unsafe, overpriced, and completely mismanaged.

I’ve been a customer at Public Storage in Port Washington for years, and the team here never disappoints. The guys always take good care of me. Karl is incredibly helpful every time I see him, and Oscar always has a smile on his face, no matter how many questions I throw his way.
What really stands out is how well they maintain the property. Every time I’m there, I see them actively cleaning and keeping the place in great shape. If you’re thinking about moving your stuff here, I’d highly recommend it. Great service, great people!

We reached out to Public Storage in Port Washington to schedule same-day appointments to tour different storage unit sizes. The entire process was quick and hassle-free.
When we arrived, Karl greeted us warmly and took the time to understand exactly what we were looking for. He patiently walked us through the available options and answered all our questions in detail. His professionalism and helpfulness made the experience seamless.
I highly recommend asking for Karl if you’re considering storage—he made the whole process easy and stress-free!

We booked a load with Stuart Rosen for $635 seven months ago, and we have not received payment yet. We delivered the pallets to the specified address. Now, they are not answering our phone calls or emails and are not ready to pay the outstanding amount.
Based on this experience, I strongly suggest that we do not book any future loads with them as they are not fulfilling their payment obligations.
