Stop & Shop is a neighborhood grocer focused on delivering a wide assortment at a great value. Customers can shop in-store or online for delivery or pickup. The store in the Port Washington shopping mall has a great view of the harbor and is the only grocery store for many residents. The selection is excellent, with certain items available such as meats and household items, though other items like particular waters and fruits may not always be available. The store is good and clean with helpful staff. Customer service is ok and can be quite helpful, with staff described as a real gem. However, staff are not as available as expected for a flagship shopping center. The self-checkout option is getting to be annoying for some. Management cares deeply about the store and customers, going beyond expectations to correct problems, such as with outdated items or unclear sales, even providing store credit when a return trip was not feasible. Stop & Shop operates over 350 stores and is committed to fighting hunger in its communities.
