I truly love visiting this store whenever I’m in the area and I been going here for many years, just not as much. From the pies, cookies and even their double egg and cheese sandwiches that “Bob” makes. ??All the staff have been greeting customers with a nice smile and offering any needed help. The ladies work really hard to please so many people that go in and out of that place and I acknowledge that when I talk to them or whenever they help others in a fast pace. I had tried almost all their sauces and I love a lot of them. Looking forward to see what 2024 brings at the farm and will be making an appearance. I truly think this store needs more space so they can sell even more stuff and/or build a food truck to share to the Dutchess County. Lastly, I personally love their apples. Nothing beats a local owned apple like Bartons has.Remember, “the best way to get to people’s ❤️❤️is through their stomachs!!

Their quality regarding produce was dry and wrinkly and nearly double the price of other locations where you can find much better quality

i have come here before many times because i really enjoy their bakery. however, the young woman that work there are constantly nasty and rude. i would rather never eat a donut from apple core again if that meant i wouldn’t have to deal with their snobbishness. their behavior was completely unprofessional and disgusting. my daughter came to the store with me and when we entered we did not see any workers until we walked towards the donut case and a bunch of them walked out and acted like they were offended we walked into the store. absolutely appalling. a conversation about the serious behavioral issues these ladies have is in check. my daughter knew some of the workers and pointed out the fact it seemed like they were directly laughing at her. no buisness should ever hire girls that take their drama with them to work. the girls that work here were not evaluated enough because it’s obvious that they have issues with being polite.

Nice looking place. The girls that work there are sweet, but the coffee is horrible. That caused me not to buy anything else.

This place is an institution. We used to get donuts here every Sunday when I was a kid. Glad to see they are still doing well :)

Many times we have gone there to pick up vegetables and they have not been fresh. My wife went there today to pick up potatoes to bake and came home with none. They were to soft. That's how you loose business.

Baked goods are ok but what is really bad is the service! Location is close to home and I always like supporting local business but they really need to step up on how they treat people! Every time I go there I have to wait for someone to come to the register to check me out. Then I get treated like I was bothering them with no thank you or have a nice day or ANYTHING! In this day and age you would think a local business would support their local community with a kind word or something! Not much to ask for...I think anyway. Oh! And the 'extra charge' for using a card is INSULTING!!!! People need to stop this or more and more people...that I talk to anyway...won't be doing business with these businesses.

If you like pie, this is the place for you. I especially recommend the 4 berry or cherry, but it's really hard to go wrong. There are lots of other delicious goodies here too. Always worth the trip.

they have good pies and baked goods but we don't remember to go there unless special event. this case it was bunny for easter. he had some united states scarf on the bunny and the bunny talked so my kids thought he was weird and didn't want to take a picture with him. sometimes the staff here are teens that don't want to be bothered with helping anyone and usual have an attitude.

Here every morning Rose and Peter have a gem here. Real butter and fresh apples make all the difference and the staff are always a joy

I used to like this place but now the place seems to be run by kids. Things don't taste fresh, especially on a Sunday morning. Don't know what happened but it's very expensive and absolutely nothing special. They are living off their old reputation but how long can that last.

I cant say enough great things about Barton Orchards! Lots of space, fun to visit and interact with the animals and lots of great community events! I love the hot air balloon festival and the sun flower festivals! Food I've had there has been on point and I believe there is alcohol as well!

Four stars for being a one of the only steadfast local farm markets with baked goods, jams, local Honey, and produce. Not to be mistaken for a TRUE farm-to-market that sells primarily their own produce. For that you may need to go to Fishkill Farm. TIP: Focus on the baked goods in local Honey's. Read the labels to avoid more commercially produced jams. Very expensive and don't expect service with a smile. It's a great stop if you're on your way to meet up with friends or family and want to bring a hostess gift.

This is the best apple pie in all of Dutchess County! I Just purchased one for my family members in Westchester County, now they want to know where the pie came from, so I told them. My late mother used to buy pies from here when I was a kid and apple cider (we grew up in Dutchess).? I came all the way from Virginia to buy this pie. It was so good. My aunt (who is a writer and works for Parks and Recreation for the Taconic) or cousin will most likely stop by to buy a apple pie from Westchester. Thank you for making such great pies!
