The older manager on duty on 12/3 in the morning needs to check her attitude. I had come in to return something and she was needed to authorize it.
As I was walking out, I spotted something for a gift that I’ve been eyeing online. While purchasing it, I was the told by her that “it would have been a lot easier” if I did the ‘exchange’ at the same time, despite it being a separate return and not an exchange at all.
Had I brought my crystal ball with me and knew I’d be buying something, too, I’d have been able to go out of my way to make HER difficult job easier— by saving her the 9 seconds it took for her to come back over and enter her code again. What an absolute joke and horrendous attitude for a customer who’s simply making a purchase.
The younger cashier however, was polite and fabulous.

Kingston cancelled my appointment without telling me and I found out day of event. Brianna had openings (THANK GOD). She did my hair and makeup and killed it - I looked fabulous! Will definitely be back 😁

I frequently visit this store and find exactly what I need for skincare, haircare, and makeup. I always leave happy with my purchases, and the staff has consistently been sweet and quick to assist whenever I have questions! However, I recently had an experience that left me feeling uneasy.
I understand the need for theft prevention measures due to what appears to be an increase in theft, but I felt unfairly targeted during my trip. I achieved platinum status and am close to reaching diamond, which reflects my loyalty and frequent visits.
While I was shopping I noticed an employee following me throughout the store. Despite not carrying a purse or wearing clothing with pockets (even if I did, still doesn't excuse this), I could not shop in peace because every time I turned around, the employee was there.
I understand the importance of security, but targeting customers based on appearance is concerning. This experience was uncomfortable and disappointing, especially since I’ve always loved coming here for my favorite products. I hope this can be addressed to ensure everyone feels welcome and respected while shopping.

Got my eyebrows done by Selena at the benefit brow bar. She did an amazing job and really listened to what I wanted with my brows. She recommended a lamination, tint, and style which is just her shaping the brow. So I did all the above and it came out great. Personally I really like a thicker brow on me so the lamination really accentuated my brows and gave a cleaner look as you can see in the before and after!

I just had the best appointment with Brianna H.!! She did my makeup and eyelashes, and did a wonderful job. Brianna was not only professional and highly skilled, she was extremely personable. She has a bubbly personality with a kind soul! I flew here from FL and have never had these services done before, she is setting the bar high should I need these services again when I return home. Highly recommend!

1 star because while the prices for hair services are reasonable and the salon is clean, the wait time is ridiculous. If you have an appointment already scheduled you will not be seen on time and have to wait at least 25 plus minutes. The hair stylist will then tell you they can't blow dry your hair. Now if your getting a hair cut, your hair needs to be blow out so you can see how the hair cut looks. Also who wants to pay money for a service and leave with wet hair? I find this very rude and if you go with a child, the stylist will tell you they don't blow dry childrens hair. Would not return.

Just had major surgery went in to pick up a few items as a birthday gift for someone using order pick up. It is currently torrential rain and I thought it would be helpful to go in and get my order instead of having an associate come out in the rain. I go in with the email that shows my order ID not realizing I left my license in the car. I’ve done pick ups from here many times in the past And an email has always been sufficient. The associate would not look at the email and instead insisted I return to my car to get the ID. Again, I just had major surgery and it is torrential downpour outside. This world has enough going on to not show compassion to others every now and again, so I’m honestly disgusted with the experience that I had at Ulta. And this is not the first time I’ve had an issue, but this is the first time I’m saying something about it so if you happen to go to the Ulta in Poughkeepsie Look out for Kelsey she’s quite rude.

Came in this weekend to purchase a few things. At checkout the young woman asked if I have a phone number in the system. I said no. She asked if I was sure and if I wanted to check. I said no thank you. She asked if I'd like to sign up. I said no thank you. She gave me the whole speech about how I should sign up because if I don't I can't return things, I can get loyalty points, etc. I said no thank you. She said she needs a phone number in order to process the transaction. I said I prefer not to provide one. She said she can't process the transaction without one. I said "So you're telling me I can't make a purchase without signing up for your loyalty program?" and she said yes. I asked why and she said "it's company policy." I left without purchasing anything. I understand the loyalty policy. It's great for people who WANT to join. I don't want to.
I know for a fact that you do not HAVE to sign up in order to make a purchase. This was a bold-faced lie. To be fair this is not the young woman's fault. She was very polite and no doubt doing what she was coached to do. I'm certainly not trying to make trouble for her. It's just sad an employee would lie rather than face penalties like being scheduled for fewer hours if their "conversion rate" isn't up to scratch. Get it together, Ulta.
