This place always run out of milk bread cheese etc a lot of the locals due their grocery shopping here because it’s on walking distance. The place is a mess because all the crackheads on Main Street steal here and the kids after school steal tear up the store it’s literally a mess Go to the dollar general on the other side of town this place will soon close down like family dollar did and the 2nd family dollar will follow soon they need security but they are too cheap

Can believe I got to dollar general 8:45 pm they supposed to close 9pm there were people at the door but they won't let me in

I love Dollar General on main Street in Poughkeepsie. Tara and Gerald keep the store running . They try as hard as they can to make sure those products hit the shelves . I'm always greeted with a smile and I love my people there. So many great finds. Also it's one stop shopping and you can also get gifts as well.

Worst dollar general ever. They have the worst managers and employees I ever deal with. They never pick up the phone and they are lazy. They let people steal and employees see them and don’t stop them or call the managers or the police.

My 14 year old child was profiled in this store. You cannot be blue eyed pale skin working in a minority populated area and profile a brown child who.also happens to suffer.from sensory processing disorder. I have always found this store to be unorganized but also, in this case you must be able to adapt to ur community. The manager who profiled my child name is Eric. Absolutely unacceptable!

This store is very clean and organized. Forget the other dollar stores. DG is the best one around. 4 stars because you can always improve.
