My family thought this Hospital was a trusted source due to the wonderful out patient specialist that my mother has excellent care from. unfortunately they are wrong with in patient services. My mothers care here was terrible. From the time we arrived 930am an IV was finally placed in at 6pm . From the Er nursing staff to The nursing team on PCU unorganized and neglectful. My mother suffered from a brain bleed. I'm currently debating to transfer her to a different Hospital. I see more people screwing around and not monitoring their patients correctly. This is disgraceful.

I was blessed to meet the people that I did while I stayed here. So to tell my experience I came in here through the ER and although some people mention how hectic the patients are, it’s the ER, no one is in their right mind in that spot because of their situation and I feel like people aren’t being fair to the nurses/ staff there. Now I was seen quickly and I had an amazing ER Nurse named Ashlee ( hope I spelled your name right). She took great care of me until we had to say our goodbyes as I enter to O.R. And for the staff and medical student there I could not feel anymore safer than what I felt. Always talking to me until I went to sleep and reassuring me that I was okay. Not to mention they put my necklace back on for me while I was under. As I make my way to my room for the night I had a pit-stop at the pac-u and the nurses there were amazing. I wish I could remember their names but I was mentally not there lol.Once in my room I had a wonderful evening nurse named Denise and she was amazing the whole way through. She and someone else( I wish I got your name) got me sandwiches and milk as many times as I asked and quickly too. They were caring and always there checking on me. During the day I had Diane and Kaylee who again were amazing. It’s rare to find a place where people actually care for you and want you to get better. Diane and kaylee helped me walk a little in the room cause I can’t lay down for long but it was amazing. The food is great too! Not many places where I would want eat but I cleaned my plate one during all 3 meals. And to the lady who dropped off my meals in the morning. Thank you. You definitely made me smile everytime and I appreciate you getting me a bowl of cereal even though I had devoured my breakfast.I want to give a big thank you to everyone in the hospital. To the people I named and interacted with I couldn’t be anymore thankful and grateful to you. To the people in the background that I couldn’t meet. Such as the kitchen department who made my food, it was amazing and thank you. To the housekeeping department, thank you for having my room clean and constantly cleaning the building. To everyone on the 6th floor who I couldn’t meet but I know checked on me a couple times. Thank you. There are way more departments such as supplies, therapy and more, and although I didn’t meet or need you guys I know people here are thankful for you.I understand some of the people’s frustration in the reviews but this place really is amazing. I’ve been a patient and a worker in many buildings and I can say this one cares.I added a photo of the room, not the best photo ever but to prove that I was here. I’d do a selfie but I look horrible after the operation lol.I was here from 03/18/24-03/19/24Again thank you everyone for taking care of me. From the people I saw to the ones I couldn’t.

You can do better and stop villafying people and treat people w/respect and dignity & figuring out what is wrong with them instead of being so quick to discharge them. You say one thing and do another, was promised certain procedures and then decided to do outpatient, inconveincing disabled people, have some compassion. Healthcare is horrible and I expected better, I guess I was wrong.

This place does not know how to de-escalate patients in any form of crisis. They are say nasty and cruel things about the psych and substance use patients. I left after one day. This hospital is dirty, abusive, and roach infested. I've worked in psych units before. Security is ignorant about anything mental health, the nurses are mostly cold and cruel to patients, and I could not be part of that. Also, to see all the roaches in the common areas of the hospital was gross! I can't imagine the private patient rooms...scary.

This place is the worst place ever. I drove a friend here to get help because they're in excruciating pain and I had to wait 4 hrs (we were walk ins). Nothing was done, they are understaffed and in the span of 4 hrs, they only asked for a urine sample. Came in at almost 11 and its 2 in the morning now and still nothing. If this was a serious problem, they would straight up be dead.Update: Their galbladder was on the verge of rupturing and they went in for emergency surgery at another hospital. Found out 7 hours later.

Susan meyen RN is a dirty, nasty, irresponsible person. Drop her like she dropped her IQ. No masks and anti vax, she has no value for Healthcare. Only her misplaced faith

I wad admitted on Monday and had to stay in the ER the entire night. The amount of Drama in the ER was not wanted. Wasn’t able to rest at all. The amount of time between doctor and nurses was chaotic. The food that I was offered the first night was cold and that was dinner remind you I was in the ER since 8am. The staff was cursing and starting they don’t want anymore patience. The Morale in this hospitals is horrible. So let get to my stay on today haven’t seen the doctor as of yet and the breakfast was nasty omg!! I keep asking when the doctor is coming I get soon and nothing yet. Make me feel they are getting a full day of pay instead of the patient. So with all of this being said, I will never come back to this hospital again, and I will never recommend anyone else to come to this hospital. I’ve never been in a place where I felt like no one cares about the patient if I can give it a zero that’s probably what you would’ve gotten a zero.. I will drive myself all the way to White Plains Hospital, then to come back here again. So Upon my release from mid Hudson hospital I was told that I was admitted To the hospital but my question How am I being admitted to the hospital? When the doctor hasn’t even came to see me since being admitted on Monday to the ER? The doctor didn’t even have the decency to come and speak to me. The doctor sign my discharge papers Without speaking to me Please go somewhere else because this hospital does not have your best interest at Heart. If I can give it a zero, I would if I can call the health department I will. The bathrooms are disgusting blood all over the bathroom. Run as fast as you can drive as far as you can to go to a different hospital.

Myself and a friend (both people of color) brought our friend to the ER for adnominal pain, nausea, and a severe headache. We were there for 3 and 1/2 hours, and the room had no chairs, so the two of us had to stand while waiting for the doctor to examine our friend. When he finally came in, he was incredibly dismissive. When I spoke up to mention a symptom my housemate forgot to mention, he gave me a condescending look and said: "Thank you, doctor." He ignored the abominable pain and instead only focused on the headache. After being there for hours, my friend and I left, and two of our housemates, who were white, came to take our place in looking after our friend. As soon as we left, the doctor's attitude completely changed. He offered them chairs and was much more receptive to what they had to say. He finally agreed to conduct tests and refer her to a specialist and was willing to listen to her concerns. We were very disappointed to see how dismissive he was and the blatant difference in how the patient was treated depending on how the people she was with looked.
