Petco is a health and wellness company dedicated to improving the lives of pets and their owners. The Poughkeepsie location at 1933 South Road offers a wide range of pet nutrition products and supplies for various animals, including dogs, cats, birds, small pets, fish, and reptiles. Customers can expect full-service grooming, veterinarian services, and pet adoption. Positive dog and puppy training classes are also available to enhance pet care. While shoppers appreciate the helpful staff, especially a cashier named James who provides excellent service, they note that the store can sometimes be unorganized and have empty shelves. Customers enjoy the perks program, which offers discounts on dog food purchases. However, the checkout experience can be slow due to limited staffing at times. Overall, Petco is recognized for its commitment to pet care and customer service.
They are not competitive in pricing of wet dog food. 50 cents a can more doesn't seem like a lot unless you're buying a lot. Staff is nice to erratic.. no consistency
