I let the salesperson know right away I needed a pillow not a bed but he gave us the same attention while looking at pillows as if we were purchasing a bed...that's good customer service!

We went to the Poughkeepsie store so my wife could try out a Sleep Number bed. We need a queen bed that can accommodate my bad back and her desire for a soft bed on our camper. Sleep Number was the least expensive option. The first salesperson was knowledgeable but unfortunately went into hard sell mode when we showed that we needed time to think about it more. If it wasn't a limited option we would have walked away. The next sale was enough for us to go forward. We purchased with another salesperson and he/she was much more pleasurable to deal with.

In the beginning this bed was great, but even with in the 100 nights you get as a trial, we call about the sleep number setting and how to find the best setting, they said you might need an extra layer, right away they sent us a mattress topper. should have raised a red flag right then and there and sent it back. 13 months in, our bed started to feel lumpy and uneven, not including how uncomfortable it has been. I called sleep number and tried to use the warranty to but being more then 12 months from the original purchase date they tell me a 4 thousand dollar mattress needs to have the air chamber replaced and it’s going to cost around 400 dollars. When I purchase a new bed, I have EVERY intention to drop this off on the sales floor of one of these stores.

Scott is informative but terribly rude. Despite that we purchased the climate 360. We had technical issues with it in the first two weeks. My husbands side would completely deflate to 0 if he tried to set the sleep number below 40. He wanted it at 30 but it would end up at 5 by morning. Scott had said if we have any issues to call him first before dealing with customer service. He went into a story about how he took a motor to a customer’s home and replaced it himself. I did and he was extremely condescending. He told me that what I was explaining wasn’t happening and when I pushed and let him know that in fact there was an issue happening he told me that I would have to deal with customer service. I asked him how long we would have to wait to have it serviced and he said he couldn’t say. I said if I had to wait too long I was going to just rerun the bed. He said you do what you have to do and hung up on me. When I called customer service I found out that they only come to upper Westchester on Tuesdays. We had to wait a week for the repairmen who came stinking of weed. They ran the bed through some cycle and informed me that the hose must have been pinched and left. That night we had the same issue. We decided to return the bed. When we called for the return we were told we had two weeks for them to come pick it up. Both of us never felt the the bed was very comfortable and I tried multiple sleep settings. We both also felt that the cooling feature was very loud in a quiet bedroom. The store had music playing and people talking so you don’t notice the noise associated with the cooling and heating feature. Overall it was not worth the expense and for something so expensive service should be much better.

The woman who worked here just kept telling me how expensive the mattresses are. Over and over. Went to a different sleep number store after and purchased there.

Brian in the Poughkeepsie store greeted us at the door . He never pressured us to buy anything ask if we need help I told him I was looking. Once I know what I wanted he was so helpful with the 3 huge items I purchased. My purchases went so smooth and amazing.. I’m ready to go purchase again all because of Brian! Oops I thought this was Ashley’s furniture surgery sorry I could delete this
