The whole process was incredibly difficult. I can't say it was all particularly this locations fault but their online service was so unreliable and ridiculous. After being there on time, but being on the phone for hours trying to figure out how to get the truck and why our account wasn't working, they charged us a late fee. Additionally this location is inconvenient and a little dangerous. It's just a frustrating experience to make a frustrating moving day even worse.

The man behind the counter (location on Garden Street) had a heavy Indian accent. I wasn't able to understand him as he explained the terms of the agreement, so I said, "I'm sorry?" He said it louder. I said, "I can hear you. I'm just having trouble understanding, I'm sorry." He was offended and said, "What is wrong with you?!" I said, "Sir, there's something wrong with me because I didn't understand what you're saying?" He continued to berate me as if I was not understanding him on purpose. He then said it a third time and said, "Did you understand THAT?!" I said I did but he did not need to speak to me that way. He said he didn't understand why I didn't understand him before and it's only because of my friend that he's going to give me the keys, otherwise he wouldn't. I was livid that he would keep berating me instead of just giving me the keys and contract so I could leave, so I walked out and let my friend handle the rest. As a result, I had to call U-haul after picking up the truck to add the insurance because I did not trust what he would do to the truck after I returned it. I sent the same friend to return the truck while I waited outside for him so I wouldn't have to engage and my friend did not write the mileage down. He was told I would receive an email with the charges, but I did not. I checked my bank and there's a $130 charge pending when it should have been between $60 to $65 ($20 for truck plus $21 miles plus $15 insurance that I felt forced to get because of his lack of professionalism, plus tax). I will never rent a U-haul from this location again. Extremely rude proprietor who should not represent U-haul. I found out after the fact that he tried to get me banned from renting U-hauls in the future ... all because I could not understand his heavy accent. Twilight Zone moment. GO TO A DIFFERENT LOCATION FOR YOUR U-HAUL TRUCK.

The guy that I rented the uhaul from told me I would get my money back overnight and I asked him are you sure it doesn’t take 3-5 business days and he said no that’s only if you pay with check. So I asked him again and he reassured his statement and said it’s easy to take the money off the card why wouldn’t it be easy to put it back on ( that convo is recorded) , and aside from that he double charged me, and put fraudulent Charges on my receipt. I paid $122 and I am receiving $ 9.48 cents back he charged me for 2 days when I had the uhaul for 7 hours, the day rate was $19.95 I was charged $39.90 and only used 27 miles at .79 cents a mile which came out to $21.33( which is the only accurate charge) He double charged me for Safe move when I didn’t ask for that option at a rate of $28 and a $15 cleaning fee when I left the uhaul spotless. I feel as if I am being scammed, and I will be leaving a review on all my social media platforms, I have a huge following of over 2 million, and intend to share my experience everyday until this is made rite.
