When I moved to New Canaan over 7 years ago, I immediately decided that I wanted to support this business since it is one of the few small 'mom & pop' pharmacies left. This business is family-owned and operated by a young husband & wife team who are pharmacists themselves. Everyone member of the staff, from pharmacists to the folks at the counter, are always so friendly and happy to be of help. Another BIG plus is that they are also VERY easy to reach by phone.
I always say that the true test of any relationship, whether it be personal or professional in nature, is how things are handled when the inevitable problem arises. There was one instance where I was very ill and unable to pick up the medication myself. I had arranged for delivery of the much-needed medication (yes, THEY DELIVER TOO) and unfortunately (and uncharacteristically) their delivery person had inadvertently delivered my medication to the wrong address (I live in a large apartment complex). By the time I realized that this error had been made, it was already a few minutes past closing time. Yet when I called the pharmacy, someone actually ANSWERED THE PHONE (which is a miracle itself in this day and age). But even more impressive was that the OWNER HIMSELF went out and retrieved the medication from the incorrect address and hand delivered it to me. Again, this error was a rare occurrence for this pharmacy but the more important fact is that they responded in such an efficient and caring manner. I dare you to try and get that kind of service from a big chain pharmacy! And the icing on the cake is that their pricing is in-line with that of their much larger competitors. Yes, there may be a few instances where I will pay A LITTLE more for some medications but the premium, when there is one at all, is relatively small and on that I am happy to pay knowing that I'm supporting good people who take such good care of me, their customer. What more could anyone ask?!
I have referred a number of my friends to this pharmacy - and not one has regretted it.

“I went to the self service, and in addition to getting my purchase requested $40. Some glitch happened, and one of the employees helped me re- enter. The $40 didn't come through, but I didn't notice. I was confused, finding I didn't have the $40 when I got back home, called, and went back to the store. They explained I hadn't been charged (I showed them my receipt.) My apologies to them, but they were very nice about it, thank you.”
