Restaurant is modern farmhouse vibes. Very nice and comfortable. Food was amazingggg. Crispy rice salmon app was fantastic. Black truffle pizza was fantastic as well! Deserts were light for what they sound and look, which was very nice to finish off the meal.

Went to dinner last week to celebrate a birthday. We had 6:15 reservations we arrived 5 minutes early but they would not sit us until the clock struck the time of reservation. Dinner room and table was large and comfortable but noisy when full.. Menu was varied such that even my grandchildren found something to select. We had appetizers to share e.g. truffle pizza was excellent as was beef tartare. To accompany the main meal we ordered a bottle of red wine, however it arrived ice cold. When we complained they said it just came out of their wine cellar, it took awhile before it warmed up to really appreciate the wine, a disappointment. The main meals were served nicely except we needed to ask for dinner plates for those sharing the aged steak for two (they gave us cocktail plates originally). However, we found most of the dishes were over salted , especially the fish dishes.

Don't bother with this place. It wasn't a too busy of a night yet just bad food for a John George spot. Dinner for 2 was over $300 which was expected. I ordered meals based off suggestions of top dishes. Ordered about 5 different dishes all were average in taste and quantity. Wine was above average at $20+ glass. Liquor drinks were extremely weak. Service was 9/10 and was on point. Wish we could have her at every restaurant. Ambiance is nothing to write home about as it hasn't really changed since 90's. The place was really dark and everyone around use had to use the candle to read the menu. The table next to us was complaining to each other about their dessert loudly and their waiter still didn't pickup their hint of being unhappy. In No rush to go back.

I am the biggest fan of Jean George and I have been to most of his restaurants. This was third time at the Inn. It has changed drastically from my first visit which was amazing, the second time was during Covid so the menu was limited (understandably) so it had a casual feel to it. The staff was amazing as it always is but the food lacked. For appetizers, we ordered a dip which was between a soft consistency like an apple sauce mixed with a humus texture. It was okay but it was served with soft pita. What it needed was something with a crunch. The shrimp salad was delicious which was the recommendation from the server but it could had been cut a bit on the plate vs large leaves of lettuces, plating was off. We ordered pizza which was amazing and the scallops which were overcooked. For dessert, it was a cupcake which was very dry. It was disappointing as I always look forward to dining in Jean's restaurants. I get excited to know I will experience fabulous food and service. This will not stop me from enjoying his restaurants in the future. But, some things need to be addressed.

This place has lovely ambience, attentive staff, and great food. The only thing that prevents me from giving this place 5 stars are the prices. I've had a lot of excellent meals all over the place at more reasonable prices. I'm perfectly willing to splurge on an upscale dining experience. I know these are not budget options. But three dinners, three apps, and a couple rounds of drinks approached $500 for three people. Ok. Enough about that. The food was very good. Grilled octopus, scallops, and steak tartare were all expertly prepared as was my cocktail. The wait staff and kitchen timed the delivery of everything extremely well. If you want an upscale experience and don't mind paying more than a little extra, go for it! I might recommend something else if friends want to go there again.

This place was fantastic from the time we walked in. The service was amazing. The drinks were even better, and the food and desserts were to die for we will definitely be back here. Thank you guys. The fire was warm and cozy compliments of Troy.

Extraordinary cuisine. The finest we have experienced in the Hudson Valley and Beyond. Certainly, we will be returning.

Editing my review after about a year. First trip was in March of 2023, it was a great time with a wonderful atmosphere and really good food.Fast forward to about a year later and the wife and I went for our anniversary and wow! Has this place fallen off a cliff, I had the parmesan crusted chicken which was downright inedible - it was unevenly cooked and just tasted awful.Everything else was pretty ordinary, but one thing that stood out to me was how run down the entire experience felt, our quarter plates were chipped (perhaps that's what they are going for, but it looked like they get their china from Goodwill), only 50% of the string lights were working. The service was good and our server was attentive and looked liked she cared for our dining experience, wish I could say the same for the Kitchen staff.

A consummate country in for the Pound Ridgers and Bedford weekenders. Serviceable food and drink, warm modern decor paired with fireplaces galore. Great for a snowy night

We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at The Inn at Pound Ridge. On a cold wintery day, the atmosphere inside the restaurant is very inviting. The great room with its high, A-frame ceiling and wooden beams along with the fireplace at the end of the room makes for a lovely space. The food was excellent. We started with the delicata squash dip, sort of a unique take on squash hummus. We had the peppercorn steak and the pork chop for entrees. Of course, you can get a peppercorn steak at a lot of places, but this is one of the better ones I've ever had. The mezcal lavender negroni is one of the more interesting drinks we've had in a long time, and quite delicious. We're going to figure out how to make these at home. All in all, we would return again and would recommend this restaurant to others.

Food needs a refresh. Could be more refined. I ordered a pasta that turned out terribly greasy and lacked acidity. Lovely venue, hard working staff… needs the Chef Vongerichten back in there to shake it up and get it back to where it was a few years
