Mature trees, fair layout, small greens. Course was lush, green 4/10 quality wise. Ground was firm considering the lushness.

Terrible Course conditions from Tee to Green. Ball marks and divots everywhere. No Rakes for Bunkers , tee boxes were horrible

The busiest golf course in the northeast! Says I. They do a decent job moving people. The course was in B+ shape for having a big thunderstorm the night before. Definitely some messed up tee boxes. And some greens were being aired out. But fairways were in ok shape. Very green. It’s not the course’s fault I three putted on +8 holes.

Many of these negative reviews are older - I tried this course out for the first time two weeks ago and have been pleasantly surprised. I heard from a local that the Douglaston management team took over in 2024. The tee boxes are honestly in better shape than Douglaston. Fairways and rough are maintained well. Only part that still needs work are some of the putting greens (aeration, dead grass patches, etc). For the price and accessibility to a full length par 70, this place is fantastic and in my opinion better than Douglaston and Kissena (although flatter layout).

Went on a Tuesday and had a magnificent time. Staff was exceedingly nice! Golf course was in terrific shape...views were incredible! 15th hole was closed for repairs...write down a 4 on your scorecard...AND enjoy a hefty discount for the inconvenience. Can't wait to play it again. Pro tip: Bacon Egg & Cheese is top notch.

Went at 4:50 pm wanting to play for an hour (sun goes down at 7:09 tonight, more than enough time) and the staff refused to let me go out. There were other golfers on the course. Kissena would have let me out, I will be going there for my twilight 9 from now on instead.

It's a decent course, but it looks like they need to make some repairs to some of the tee boxes, greens, and fairways, and they have to fix holes 1 and 4 because they tend to flood a bit after it rains. Other than that, it's a good course

NYC-owned scenic track with challenging Par 3 and Par 4 holes[10] Course notes: This was formerly a private track; Some greens including hole # 7 were in bad shape w/ barely any grass in certain areas about 8x8 feet wide.[11] Course notes: Greens were benign with no multiple level areas or severe breaks.[12] Course notes: I was thrilled hitting shots over water on two very challenging and uphill Par 3 holes over 170 yards away with water in play (front water hazard).[16] Course notes: Parkland style course with benign rough was a significant factor to offset my low FIR and better than average scrambling.[17] Course notes: The views of the Long Island Sound and Throgs Neck Bridge from a high point in the golf course were spectacular and definitely adds to the unique golf experience.[18] Course notes: Several tee boxes were under repair and at least 5 fairways had large bare patches or huge patches of weeds growing.[21] Restrooms were clean and updated.[22] Walker friendly with minimal areas that were cordoned-off. Elevation changes were not too extreme for push carts[23] Practice areas were limited to putting green only. No driving range on site. Offsite driving range 2.5 miles away charges $11/ small bucket, too expensive for my budget.[24] Pro Shop sells sandwiches, cold drinks and coffee.Overall, I may come back and play this track again
