“Awesome small business with a great atmosphere! I go to their fitness classes regularly (unlimited strength and pilates are favorites of mine) and would highly recommend them. They also offer physical therapy, massage, and nutrition advisement.”
“Alchemist Boxing Fitness Club by Coach G and associates gets a High 5 star rating by me. Great for the neighborhood and the youth. People of any age from 5-75 workout here. He is there to teach boxing but he does more than that. Self defense, confidence boosting ,technique ,etc. Coach G I consider him as a longtime friend even if I known him for a year. Not to kid you but he doesn’t take BS when he works. Enjoy the place everyone.”

“This is a high-end five-star gym on par with Equinox. I’m actually a former Equinox member and I’m very impressed with the gym. The service and staff are also incredible. I would highly recommend for anyone looking to get into fitness for first time or elevate their game at the advanced level. Thank you!”

“The staff is always so helpful and friendly. The coaching staff are all really motivating. You can choose the level of challenge and how much you want to push yourself. Love this studio! ❤️”
“I joined Evolve about 3 weeks ago and have enjoyed it a ton! Huge facility with the general area comprised of great machines, squat racks, cables, and smith machines, a power lifting room with a mezzanine, dumbbell/bench room with a few other machines in it, a turfed area for stretching, mobility, calisthenics, Hyrox training, boxing, etc., a cardio/core mezzanine, and a glute focused area. The facility is always tidy and cleaning staff are very friendly and courteous of members during their workouts. Front desk is super friendly as well and they have a nutrition/smoothie/acai bar at the front! Additionally, there is a posing room and a hydromassage as well that are included in your membership. Locker rooms are not the most amazing/pristine unfortunately they don't have a sauna (they have a steam room if thats your cup of tea, just not my thing unfortunately), BUT, they do the job and I don't go to the gym to hang out in the locker room so it's really a non-issue for me.
Overall, Evolve is a fantastic facility and I feel like its very reasonably priced. There are some up front membership/initiation fees and then a maintenance fee on your third month in but other than that, $50 a month for a gym like this is a steal. Overall, 10/10 would highly recommend to anybody in the area!”
“Bryan is an amazing trainer! He is very patient, professional, and always takes the time to make sure you understand each exercise. He creates a supportive and motivating environment, making every workout enjoyable and effective. His knowledge, encouragement, and positive attitude make a big difference. I highly recommend Bryan to anyone looking for a trainer who genuinely cares about helping you reach your goals.”
“I’m a Forest Hills resident and feel fortunate to have an Orangetheory close to me. I’ve taken classes with Kyle (!!!), JemmaLynn, Alex, and Tariq, all of whom are so friendly, encouraging, and make the workouts genuinely fun! The playlists are great, and I especially appreciate the strength classes since working out alone at a gym can often feel isolating. I have also done Orangetheory in other states and other parts of New York and always had a great time.
The only reason I’m taking one star off is due to a recent experience in Nancy’s class. It was my first time taking her class and I found her approach not only unfriendly but also critical. I had modified a couple of exercises based on what I’d learned in personal training, but she told me it was incorrect and asked me to redo the entire set — twice. She also commented that doing the workout incorrectly was “akin to not working out at all,” which felt unnecessarily harsh. Further, she didn’t do the usual demo at the start of the floor block that other instructors usually do, so I had to rely on the screen and my personal experience with those exercises. The interaction left me uncomfortable enough that I ended up leaving the class 20 minutes in.
I care about working out with proper form, so when I came home, I asked my husband (who powerlifts regularly) to look at the movements, and he affirmed that how I worked out in class was not unsafe.
That said, one unpleasant experience won’t deter me from returning. This studio overall has wonderful coaches and a great community. I’ve reached out to the studio regarding the incident and hope that they act on this feedback. I would like to also receive a class credit so I can use that to work with instructors who foster respect and positive rapport rather than a hostile environment.”

“I personally don't love the gym here, it's kind of cramped especially if you like working with free weights and barbells. I had to do my rows in a tight corner. The machines are nice however and you could make it work. I would like a designated area with a place to barbell squat, deadlift and row but it's small. It's a fine gym just a bit limited. If you pay for tuition here you might as well take advantage of the free gym access. I'm already paying a membership at a bigger nicer gym that's open 24 hours so I don't really need it.”
“I come here every day. There is no criticism in this gym. Friendly members and great equipment. I recommend Fitness Center to anyone looking for a welcoming place to exercise.”
“Blink is kinda better than planet fitnessAnd they have more equipment.Although planet fitness cheaper .Blink has more members and more gym location wise. It's crowded on peak timeAnd need more gym.”
“A variety of equipment. The surroundings are clean. There is drinking water available . There is an awesome corner for aerobics along with yoga mats and light weights for females”
“I’ve been to a few different Blink/Pure Gyms and I LOVE the fact that this is 24/7 which is super convenient. I’m from L.I and they close at 7 on weekends. It’s my first time here at this location and my only complaint is the smell, this onion smell tends to linger here maybe have one of those automatic febreez dispensers around or make wearing deodorant mandatory( out of your control). the other complaint is lack of bench press machines, I love the pecor brand you guys use here, it lower profile for better leg drive when doing presses over the matrix brand which sits higher which you guys use in the L.I locations.I can’t imagine waiting for one on a busy day with only two, luckily for me it’s dead here now. Besides that I really like it here
EDIT: No soap in the men’s bathroom? What’s up with that? Just hand sanitizer . Had to go in the shower to get soap”

“Surprise: the hours just got reduced arbitrarily; closing time is now 8pm on weekends and 10pm on weekdays! Their later closing times was one of their biggest draws for me but now the crowded next door retro fitness has better hours (and is half as expensive too.) All the clubs reduced hours and services, supposingly bc Covid. The value is getting dramatically less for me bc this just cut 1/2-1/3 away of my time there. This is not better service or experience to me or likely those that depend on late hours the single most important factor for us. They apparently pay staff minimum anyway so if they do this to save money maybe this is the start of a death spiral. Hope not.
Update 10/24: it’s now 5 stars - hours improved to 11 weekdays so is comparable to, with facility/ staff better, than other gyms locally. I should have updated this earlier after the hours improved and they the gym floor.”
“I was a planet fitness in this location when they open around 13 years ago, before it was perfect even been small area to workout downstairs, they should have more equipment on the first floor instead of cardio machines they have to much of them, the only reason I give them 5 stars review is because they keep all areas clean, the staff you will see them always cleaning even the machines, also the staff is amazing they are very polite, professional and friendly.im a black card member the machines to get massages are good , the only problem i see is that they stop providing 24 hours open gym if they open 24 hours again it will be a plus and they have to remember that they have a very good competition with pure gym witch is open 24 hours and have similar price; so been that said come on planet fitness open 24 hours like before.”
“I can hardly believe it, I've finally found the perfect workout class studio that also happens to be a woman-owned small business (bonus!). The instructors are fantastic. The classes themselves are low impact so I never feel like I am going to injure myself even though I am working hard. Each workout move in class is given many options to fit all abilities. I've come to trust the workout system they have and know that if I keep sticking with it I'll continue to gain strength and flexibility.
The studio space is gorgeous and so thoughtfully put together. It feels lux and like home at the same time. The staff and the others (mostly women) working out are friendly and this is a place where one could meet friends, or at least create a support circle. It feels nice being recognized by others in class.
As a side note, a Trader Joe's is just steps away, which is a post class highlight for me, as I don't live near one.”
