A worker was extremely rude. I waited until the employee finished organizing so I could browse the section. When I began looking, the employee returned, stood uncomfortably close to me, and started organizing again without giving me any space or acknowledgment. It felt intrusive and unprofessional. I ended up leaving because I didn’t want to deal with that behavior.

On that day, I found a nutcracker figurine with multiple markdown price tags clearly displayed:
• First markdown: $31
• Second markdown: $19
• Final markdown: red clearance tag marked $15
The item was visibly damaged: one arm was detached, and the backpack on the back was broken. Based on HomeGoods’ pricing practices, a red tag represents final clearance pricing.
To confirm, I asked a store associate (approximately 30 years old, Black male). He pointed directly to the red tag and clearly stated:
“That is the price — $15. This is the final price.”
Relying on this confirmation, I proceeded to checkout.
The cashier, a small-framed White female approximately 40 years old, asked me to wait, then returned with a hostile attitude and stated the price was $80. She then rudely removed and discarded all markdown tags, including the red $15 tag, in front of me.
When I explained the item was damaged and that the price had been confirmed by another associate, she responded with suspicion and dismissiveness, insisted the price was $80, and ultimately forcefully took the item away from me, ending the transaction.

This store is welcoming, organized, and clean. The cashiers go out of their way to brighten up your day with authentic conversations. This HomeGoods is a great place to destress-just be warned, you will absolutely leave with things you didn't come for!

Over crowded shelves that it makes it difficult to shop. The products are on glass shelves that are leaning with so much weight from the products you're afraid it will drop.
Aisles are cluttered with new arrivals, and yet old ones are still on display.
I found some unique mugs.

Giving 3 starts as the cashiers behave like they are chilling on the beach, making customers spend up to 15 min in line! making no sense! Stuff is friendly , items are well stocked & well organized , not complaints at all.

Home Goods is one of my favorite places to shop for essentials for the home. They have good sales and even their "clearance sales are good. This location in College Point has good customer service personnel and browsing is awesome.
