KNR Auto is my go-to repair shop in LIC. I always have a great experience and go for routine inspections, oil changes - and most recently a battery change. I appreciate that Rick is always fair when it comes to pricing, which I've found to be rare in NYC. If you're looking for an honest and reliable car repair shop, this is the place to go!

Such a great experience working with Rick and Kate. I actually couldn't imagine a better experience at an auto repair shop.
I called several different ones initially to get my NYS inspection updated, and in talking to Kate over the phone, it was clear that they were different than the others, so it was an easy choice ultimately. When I brought my car over for the inspection, I asked about car washes because my car had been sitting unused in a garage for ~6 months, and they simply offered to clean it for free in the street while I was waiting.
My car then needed additional repairs (and I ultimately decided to sell it), and Rick and Kate were incredibly accommodating, allowing me to cancel my monthly parking garage and just keep the car at their shop until I was able to find a buyer.
I really can't recommend them enough (as you can see because I never write Google reviews). They are really doing things differently, with unparalleled customer service, and it turned a potentially stressful situation into a really pleasant one.
If you're ever in need of a car repair and you live in Queens or not (I actually live in Manhattan but will continue going to them for anything I need), you should call them, talk to Rick and/or Kate, and you'll immediately see what I'm talking about.

I have been going to Ricky and Kate for the longest time. They are open early and close later than other auto repair shops.
Ricky is very knowledgeable and never overcharges his clients. They are always so friendly and professional. Always greet me with a big smile on their face. If something is wrong with my car- ricky is my go to guy. I can call him and he picks up right away saying come right in- even if its busy in there. Highly recommend this place for your car.

KNR Auto is my go-to for all car issues! Kate and Rick are absolutely awesome. They recently repaired my car in record time, and their service was exceptional, as always. Their shop has been a staple in the neighborhood for as long as I can remember, and they’ve built a reputation for being honest, reliable, and friendly. They never try to upsell unnecessary repairs, and their pricing is always fair. They truly care about their customers and make sure you’re back on the road quickly. I brought my Honda pilot here because it needed to be serviced and also somebody sideswiped my car so I brought it to KNR because they are a neighborhood establishment and they were near my house . They addressed these situations and then some I can honestly say I've been to many mechanics and many body shops and this place by far was the best experience I've ever had , they were very professional ; courteous and fast repairing my vehicle not to mention they did an excellent excellent job on my vehicle. I feel like I'm driving a brand new vehicle and that is thanks to KNR because they treated my car like it was theirs. I went on to tell family or friends about KNR about the great experience I had with them and now they will be bringing there vehicles there also. I will definitely will be bringing my car back there but any future repairs that may come up. Which I just did today for my front shocks and brakes once again they did a excellent job at a good price .Very very satisfied !!!I I would like to thank them from the bottom of my heart for doing such a great job on my vehicle and being as professional as they were to me and my wife. THANKS KNR !!!!

Had system alert for my brakes, and Rick helped me out the same day. Also offered to perform inspection that was needed before the end of the month. Super friendly and honest!

KNR did an amazing job fixing a dent in the side door of our car, which required a new paint job. They were able to deliver perfect results in the timeframe needed. You can't even tell there was ever an issue, as the paint exactly matches the rest of the car. Katie and the team at KNR were super communicative and kind and we look forward to using them again for our future needs.

Rick and Kate are the absolute best! I've had all my car work done for both my personal vehicle and work van at KNR for 4+ years now, and I can't say enough good things. Friendly folks, fast work, fair priced and they really take care of the community in LIC. An absolute gem of a business. Highly recommended! I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I am so glad I found KNR! I needed some body work done on my 2011 Honda Pilot, and Katie fit me in right away for an estimate, gave me a great price for the work, and had it done in 2 days. She did a great job. On my way out, Rick also suggested some better headlights that I could order on my own, and he will install them for me at no charge - I may take him up on this! It can be very hard to find honest and reliable mechanics, but that’s what I found at KNR. They will be my go-to shop here in LIC going forward. Thank you Katie and Rick!
UPDATE 09/2024: Thank you Katie and Rick for again helping me with my vehicle! This time, for a mechanical issue. I brought the car to KNR in the morning, Rick diagnosed the problem (bad sway end bar links), and did the replacement that same day. Had my car back by 5 PM, and the drive home was very smooth! I will continue to use them for my car needs going forward.
