Everything is good except the apartment timings. If They give you time at 8am they will call you at 10 or 11 am that’s crazy. The wait time make you sick and tired. As a pregnant women it’s hard to wait for 2/4 hours. They need to fix this problem other then that everything is good.

MICU nurses Nikki & Alyssa on the 6th floor were the absolute best, literally angels. They took the best care of my father. They were both so attentive, loving and caring as they took exceptional care of my dad. My father was a nurse manager so him being here and getting the care he once gave was heartwarming. We wished we were able to have them care for him downstairs on 4 south .

This hospital can benefit from hiring more competent doctors. Dr. Chakravorty is inexperience. He usually do his rounds in the morning, make promises to patients and never fulfill them. My niece had the displeasure of being in his care and I don't think he knew how to treat her illness. His answer was to ignore the patient and hope the problem will go away on its own. Dr. Chakravorty need some mentorship. He can learn a lot from more experience doctor. This is a hospital where doctors are supposed to put their personal feelings aside and take care of their patient. Where is the compassion and empathy doctors use to have?

LIJ should be known for their negligence when it comes to treating patients. I brought my father in to the ER on New Year’s Day for a kidney stone. He was having a lot of pain and he was vomiting. The doctor who was on my father’s case only wanted an ultrasound. Obviously in the ultrasound they couldn’t find the stone, since the stone had moved since his last scan he had. The doctor was ready to let us go so he can remove us from the room since the ER entrance was full. I suggested to the doctor to get my father an x-ray or a CT scan to localize the stone. He went against upon my request that it was “useless,” they only cared that blood work was normal and the kidney was fine.So we left after that and the next morning my dad was even worse so we brought him to NYU Langone-Winthrop which they got him the CT scan and now he’s getting surgery to remove the stone. What a shame LIJ ED has become. Also the doctor treated my father was Dr. Khan, so look out for him.

Had the worst experience at this hospital. Horrible wait times, nurses were extremely rude. No bedside manners whatsoever. All the staff were sitting at their desks, and have no care for their patients who are in severe pain. When you ask them for an update, they all have the worst attitude. Highly recommend going to a different ER, do not step foot in this place!!

This was honestly the worst hospital I have ever been to. They didn’t treat me for my sickness I had tonsillitis and despite me being unable to talk, eat, drink, or swallow they still prescribed me pills even though I couldn’t take them. They were rude and dismissive to my pain just for me to get admitted to another hospital a day later. Waste of time.

Well give your nurses, PCAs and staff with voceras or hospital cellphones/walkie talkie and stop waking up your resting/sleeping sick patients on your unit’s loud overhead announcements even at 10pm!!

Incompetent staff, delayed a very important procedure until we finally went to a different place and they were shocked to see how much this was delayed even though they had all the necessary reports.

Do not ever enter this hospital through its emergency room !!! The WORST emergency room I've ever been in . They accept patients and warehouse them for 10-13 hours without any care . Poorly managed is an understatement.Heres the example , wife had Brain surgery in this hospital. They sent her home " she's fine to go " she suffers a dizzy spell and falls , hitting her head . After 3 hours after I blow a gasket and point out no one has looked at her HEAD ! Finally a cat scan ! When the surgeon calls and asks WTF is going on . . Utterly and completely incompetent.

Going to base this off of our most recent visit and other experiences at this hospital. I will say, if you're not in the maternity ward post partem, you're screwed. My husband just recently had an out patient procedure done here. It took most of the day, but everyone that we came into contact with us from the admittance coordinator to our doctor and nurses, we really felt like we were in good hands. On the main floor they have a pharmacy, gift shop with a lot of much needed essentials and a Panera bread. I spent most of the day working there and the quality did not waiver. I also saw they were holding a blood drive because there is a shortage. So your girl gave some blood! Everyone there was just as pleasant. I really think we are lucky to have such great hospitals where we live. This is just another one of them.
