Paid a $45 copay, I get there at 8:30am i tell them I have a pink eye that you could clearly see doesn’t take a rocket scientist to tell, I’m sitting there hearing them call out other people whom arrived after me (all walk ins) just for them to finally call out my name at 9:55 just so the “doctor” could come in for 45 secs and tell me she’ll send my prescription over. How hard was it to do that mean while you’re all out there laughing and giggling and wondering what’s for lunch. Get your work done fast and efficient instead of watching time go

My son had very high fever so I did a COVID test twice and both time turn positive. I took him to Optum urgent Care and the nurse came with a mask and did the test, 20 minutes later she came with a plastic shield and I figured he had COVID. Well the doctor came and said he didn’t have COVID. I told the doctor wow when I saw the nurse with the shield I thought he had COVID, but I ask why did I took two test at home and tested positive? What you took test a home? Yes. Let me call the nurse so she can take sample for lab. One week later I’m still waiting for them to tell me results. This morning I went in raised hell and they gave me results and sure enough he had COVID. How incompetent this Optum Urgent care is. A ten year old child going to school while sick. This clinic should be close. By the way their ratings sho be “0 stars “

I have an 11am appt and haven’t been seen yet. It’s 11:45. They constantly overbook, ask you to come early, to then make you wait. I know I’m just one person but I’m not coming back. This is unacceptable.

They charge a $100 co-pay but they couldn't explain why. They told me it's because of "tiers" and something to do with Emblemhealth. I have Emblemhealth insurance and it's says $50 copay on my card. They wouldn't see me if I didn't pay up front and they don't do payments either. They also told me I had to call insurance for an actual explanation.I'm not sure where to go and my symptoms have gotten worse over the past three days. The emergency room is $150 so that's not possible. We have a terrible system folks.

This is not the first time I have used this urgent care, but it’s my first time complaining publicly. Dr. Valerie Brutus was awful. It was 7:15pm. I had waited 35mins to see her and there was only 1 other person in an exam room (I made an appointment & I had been triaged by the medical tech). Dr. Brutus had negative energy walking into the exam room and listen to my symptoms “verbally”. She told me my results of rapid tests and walked out of the exam room. She did not listen to my chest or check anything on Me physically, but did ask if I needed a note?!? I said “it would have been nice if she has examined Me”. She said to go back into exam room. Wrong!! Dr. Brutus should know how to do her job and not be told be the patient. I paid out of pocket $115 for the visit to basically get a prescription sent to the pharmacy. It’s disgusting how she treated Me! Patients Beware and Advocate for your rights as a patient.

Was just there this morning and was seen very quickly the facility is very clean and is my go to place when am sick as well as my family does also. Rashmi IS SUPER AMAZING AND SO FRIENDLY. she put me at ease , as I was kind of nervous. also SHE IS SO HARD WORKING AND JUGGLING 10000 THINGS AT ONCE. SHE DESERVES A BIG RAISE. I WISH THERE ARE MORE PEOPLE LIKE RASHMI IN The HEALTH CARE WORLD.I was going to give 5 stars but due to the short staff amount I politely leave 4 starsThis place needs to hire more Assistants and help to cater the overflow of patients on a daily basis. It’s GREAT TO KNOW THEY DO X RAY HERE.ALSO THE FRONT DESK SERVICE IS SO HELPFUL AND PATIENT EXCELLENT SERVICE

The staff was really friendly and helpful. I took my mom there for a cold and they were able to help her instantly. Our wait time was reasonable.

Optum urgent care… all optum associates ( radiology ) that are taking over are awful and give unsatisfactory and unacceptable care.Tons of issues from the front desk to doctors and radiologists, are unbelievable with the lack of care and unprofessionalismAs for my review today, my uncle has a terrible upper respiratory infection. And can’t be seen because there are no radiologists available … what is going on here ?? Why don’t they have a back up?? It’s URGENT CARE… there should always be a radiologist available!! Unacceptable with terrible management.

Female receptionist was very dismissive about my ailments. She was focused more on getting me to come back another day or going somewhere else because the x-Ray tech wasn’t their instead of listening to my problem. The Male receptionist was much more helpful.

I went to the Optum in Howard Beach for the first time yesterday evening. I made an appointment online. I was put into a room after attempting to fill out forms on my phone for about 15 minutes or a very non-user-friendly platform. I was put into a room at 6:01 PM. At 6:48 PM, after listening to the staff, laughing, joking, and yelling out loud for over 45 minutes, I left the exam room that I have been sitting in by myself and walked into their office and asked when I would be seen. They all looked astonished that there was a patient in the room. The medical assistant never told them that I was waiting, and, although they apologized, I couldn’t believe that that had happened. How can you be running a medical facility and have no idea that one of your rooms has a patient in it? I am a practice manager of a large dental practice in Long Island, and under no circumstances, would that ever happen in our office. I will never return to this facility, as I do not trust the quality of care, and I am angry that I even paid a co-pay for the 5 minute visit that I had with the doctor.

I used to go to this urgent care all the time. There is a front desk lady that always wants to charge me more money than what my copay is. We always end up arguing and I take responsibility and agree to get charged by mail if it’s more. Never had a problem because I know what it should be. But I’m tired of arguing with her so I started to go to a different urgent care where they charge me the copay that is listed on my card.

I go there because my insurance copay is $25 but sometimes they want $100 for some reason. Another time $50 even though my card copay states $25. That's just for a doctors sick visit before any test. Now I rather go down the block where is always what my card states.
